I believe thats called piston slap... the piston to cylinder wall clearance was too big, and thus it makes for a "loose" piston... i know IJ or suprarich will have a defintate answer.

TOO bad of a rebuild... depends on if it took anything else out... like i said, i'll sell you the rods and pistons from my 90 for pretty cheap if thats whats wrong... and seized to them might just be rod knock... you dont know until you get it home and crack it open... and you wont learn...

Its usually a broken rod... or something of that nature. You wont know until you crack the oil pan off. and offer the dude $150 cash... lol and if you dont know how to rebuild a motor, or dont have the experiecen/money to pay someone just sell the supra now.... and worry about a car...

how can you tell the condition of a motor through pictures? thats like seeing myspace pictures of a girl... it never tells the full truth... and a 1jz needs a lot more than a 7m to properly work in your engine less shell... im tellin ya, craigslist! there are quite a few engines on there...
