    Thanks for the info. Some bore pics: Bore size is 83mm so I guess it wasn't punched when rebuilt. Deck was also supposedly prepped for a MHG but I think I'm going to see if my machine shop can check the RA to be sure.

    Might be a stupid question, but I noticed that the cap doesn't have an oil hole and the bearings do. Is this a problem?

    Supposed to be a fresh rebuild with ~2500mi on it (rod knock motor is still in the car), all of the bearings look like that, color is almost whiteish. It has been sitting for over a year, possible it's corrosion or something?

    The AFPR is mainly to lower your base fuel pressure for the bigger injectors so you don't run super rich. Without dropping the pressure you'll run pretty rich and it may not idle very well. Do you have a SAFC or other tuning device (didn't see any mention above)?

    Hey Poodles, I remember your DDP :) Feels like it has less torque, probably because I'm running leaner. I also backed the boost down, about 7psi is all I can run and stay safe. Guess I'll check the pump out too, it's got 175k on it and I haven't exactly been nice to it since the turbo install...

    So this is more general turbo related than Supra related, but I'm having issues being lean on top in my turboed Escort after plugging a vac port I missed when I put the engine in. I was running 12psi and now I don't have enough fuel for 9psi, trying to figure out if my fuel pump is crapping out...

    MSD BTM and SafcII?

    Should work fine, the BTM is kind of a crude way to control timing but not bad for the price. Are you running NA electronics? If not, you shouldn't need it. The standard BTM won't work with GTE ignition either, you'd have to get the DIS ignition setup with boost retard.

    Good to know about the Master Power, I'll keep my eye out for a deal. Plenty of guys over on CNA-T have had good luck with the XSPower turbos, I've talked with Mark at XSPower a little and he seems to know his stuff as well.

    I've read that post :) I'm planning to give the turbo a thorough inspection before bolting it on. Know plenty of people running 'em without a problem, worst case you got a decent housing to throw some internals in. Can't help the intrigue of a $300 turbo, I'm a sucker for cheap Chinese crap lol
