Sorry if there's info out there, I searched but it's quite possible I don't know how to use a search feature since I used to spend most of my time on SF :stickpoke
Anyways, I just picked up a SS Autochrome manifold and will be getting one of the XSpower T70s and I had a few questions about...
Wow, I'm seriously impressed! Definitely appeals to the wagon junky in me :) Love the patina look too, I say leave it the way it is. You should post on wagonator.com, the guys over there would love your car.
My current wagon is a sleeper Ford Escort, but I'm still searching for a TE72...
Answered my own question, forgot I had a set of Honda injectors with clips in my parts pile for my turbo 4runner project. Clips are type C and fit the RX7 injectors.
Picked up 6 brand new (old stock) injectors off ebay for $240:biglaugh: Fuel system complete, now I just need a turbo to help me use all the fuel...
So by "standard" you mean I should be able to use any aftermarket clip like the ones RC sells for their injectors (type C connector I think)?
Sounds like a fun project, I had plans to turbo mine but decided to build a Supra instead. TT wheels stuck out a little in the rear but tucked nicely after I rolled the fenders (Lousville slugger style :naughty: ).
Nice video :) How's the spool on that turbo (rpm for onset and full boost)? I'm looking at getting one (I assume its the XSpower "T70" that specs out to a T61), but I was worried about lag with the .84A/R exhaust housing.
UPDATE: Dyno Numbers are in-533rwhp/497ft-lbs!!

Big thanks to everyone who helped out (in person and w/questions) and provided info about their swaps: Jon (mobes), Scott...
So you're not running any fuel management at all? You usually need at least a rising rate fpr or something to add fuel with boost, most N/A ECUs do a really bad job of adjusting for boost.
Even better :) I've got a source where I can get them for a good price, just trying to figure out if they'll fit and where I can get some injector clips to hook 'em up. If it's going to be too much work I'll just go with RCs.
Thanks for the replies. My original plan was to use this head and a low mileage shortblock I bought to get it on the road while I build the old motor. The block was supposedly machined for a MHG so I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the head done. I'd probably get the block surface...
Things must have changed since I left Blacksburg 2yrs ago, the left lane on I-81 used to run 85-90MPH, that was alot of fun in a lifted 4cyl 4-Runner :naughty:
Finally (after 2 years) starting my build, figured I'd use 1 post for all my stupid questions. While I've worked on alot of stuff (I flip cars as a side business) I've never ventured into engine internals. On to the good stuff...
The car, bought for $1k w/rod knock:
First question-I...

Don't know much about the MAP ECU, but I think it has an adjustment for inj size. E85 FTW, I'm running 12psi on my dd Escort with a 9.2:1 c/r and no intercooler :)
680s are a little big, may cause some idling problems if you're not running a standalone. I'll be running E85, which is why I'm looking at them over 550s...
I'm trying to figure out if '85 RX-7 injectors will work on the 7mgte. They're 680cc low-imp (PN 195500-0900, orange top) but I've been searching for a while and haven't seen any info on whether they'll fit the rail or injector clips (or where I can get clips if they're needed). The clips look...
