Camaros are like belly buttons... it dont take much more than cash to get one (unless your talking pre 70) : )
Welcome to the rare cool kid club .. lol.
Is it just me.. or does the California plate kinda do something extra...
Someone clue me in... 30-32 psi (on a "normal" tire) would be good for 0-60 driving. For 60-100 mph wouldn't you want 35'ish? This is just "daily" driving, not track.
For some reason I think this is correct because there is more flex to cause heat at slower speeds.
I was gonna start a thread just like this. Normally I run 35 psi all around, but the tire shop puts em on at 32. Was wondering what the logic is. There is supposed to be a formula for this. You are supposed to weigh each corner of the car and the tire pressure is supposed to be set using the...
Shine auto project (google it) just had a group buy session for widebody fenders (35 mm wider I believe) and had Kaze rear widebody for the quarters. Not sure if those were what you were thinking of
Thanks Steve,
where is this "screen"? When I peek into the reservoir (top of engine) I dont see any screen, just fluid.. so I am assuming its on the bottom of the reservoir? I do have a second reservoir in a box that came with the car.
The PS Hoses are pretty gummy and look like there were...
Very true about us sounding like the MK3 is a piece of crap, but I think its because most want lofty things for our cars and normally the happy people dont talk much.
I think it can probably be said that everyone of us love our MK3's, but because we are looking at them so closely, we are...
You dont need to repalce a headgasket on a 7M upon buying it. If you do, its not a simple replacement.. you have to deck and lap the block and head. It has to be a very precise smoothness (I dont know the exact measurement.. but if you have to ever do this.. I have a lot of info I can pop your...
I have that exact same rad on my 88. OEM fan, OEM shroud. No issues.. it was a very tight fit putting it in though.. lol. Had the rad for 2-3 years without an issue.. (7MGTE). Not sure why yours would do that.
I thought that Dot4 did absorb water, just a lot less.
I went ahead and flushed the transmission. I looked at the fluid and pretty sure its been in there since 2004 (possibly since new). It was pretty damn dark. Also did an oil change (Mobil 10W30 Synthetic in there now). Took it on the highway...
I get about 18-19 mpg in city because I boost more. Highway I have reached 28 mpg by cruising at 65 mph. If your tank is leaking (mine was) it almost always happens right by where the filler tube goes into the tank (right behind the rear pass side wheel). There is a protector cover there that...
screen in the ps res? I just see fluid and it looks clean. Pretty sure its just the pump heading out. I think it looks like a simple job to replace.. hopefully they are still available.. lol.
so is the 90 LSD any better than my 88's? I thought they changed either from or to Torsen during 89 due...
My 2 cents?
If you got 3000 to put into a Mark3 (and are driven to actually buy this potential moneypit), then take your time. Make sure you have researched the warts.. there is a thread in here about what to know before buying a MK3 (cant find it.. but its here somewhere) ...
When you are...
lol, I like my bumper in everything except the occasional road scrape when coming out of parking lots. Im not sure how much of a bumper your car would have left when driving like you do on a track if you have any body roll. From what I can see, you have a "air dam" on the bottom of your bumper...
Couple questions for those that know.
1. Is a full 7MGTE gasket set useful on a 7MGE? I'm thinking the seals/gaskets should all work on either engine as its the head design and the oil "path" that is different (I could be wrong)
2. I just bought a 1990 MK3 with a 7MGTE and auto (not sure of...
