The Spare tire well looked super clean, so I would imagine the body is pretty rust free. If you want a project car.. that for 1000 is very worth it. Rebuilding the quarters on a slightly less rusty car would cost you a ton more... just a thought.

A little reminder... while your dash is apart.. check out your heater core closely... its a 9-12 hour job to replace later. Even if the core is okay, the O-rings should be replaced just to solve later issues.. (just in case) Easier to do now. :)

Just wondering, is your suspension very firm? Mine are close to that position in the wheel well and I noticed mine rub at higher speeds if I get on a "rolling" highway (small hills). Or did you roll your rear quarters?

damn.. well.. I bought the cable replacement for about 30.00 (both gas door and hatch) so I will just use it. Its a pain to do, but if I have to do it again later, so be it. Its kinda good to take the rear interior out once in a while anyway to monitor any potential rust areas...

Okay.. I am looking at replacing my hatch cable (its busted somewhere near the end piece). From what I can see, I have to remove the driver's seat, rear seats and almost the entire rear interior to access everything correctly. Anyone done this that can verify I am not going to do a lot of work...

Probably one of my favorite feels for the 7M.. I can go up mountains and the car doesnt stress about it at all... its far better than my minivan or truck.
