    considering rebuild

Boring is not the method here. If you want a cost-effective option look into going 2jzge->T like I did. A couple of other guys have done it too. Its easier than doing a 7M rebuild.

    should i lower my compression

it depends on what kind of turbo you are going to put on it. Because you are asking the question, I assume you are using a stock turbo. The car will be more fun to drive if you raise it a bit. Go with a standard-thickness after resurfacing.

battery light will come on when the voltage gets too low. Yes, a bad ground could cause this. Ensure that the batt neg cable is properly grounded to both the chassis and the block and that it is in good condition. Look for corrosion in the cable near the post by trying to bend the cable. If...

Who is using the AEM EMS?

Also I think that a 3 bar sensor will give you the range of 3 atm. Basically -14.7 to + 29.4 psi. Some people think that a 3 bar means that it will go to 14.7x3 (44.1 psi) which isnt correct. Sooooo.... if 29.4 psi is all you will be seeing, ever, then it should work for you.
