    morganson's COP S-Type setup

    Morganson- can you post all the dimensions that you used for the CAD design? We could use that as a template if a premade mounting plate ends up being a no-go.

    Apropos of nothing whatsoever, anyone ever neglect to secure their targa top?

    I lost my original years ago. It was summer time, and the weather had been great for days, so I was running with the top off all day. That night, I put it back on the car, just in case there was any dew in the morning(and because my apt. complex wasn't exactly Melrose Place.) I was simply...

    Cross-compatible radiator fans?

    Just wanted to add a pic: The Lexus LS400 fan is BARELY smaller than the shroud opening, but IMO- too tight to safely run. If someone were so inclined, they could certainly shave a 1/4" from the blades to make it a perfect size. The problem with that of course, is getting it perfectly balanced...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3,...NOW FOUR!

    Got a couple new parts today. New oem shroud, and new oem fan(yes, it is the 7 blade). Also, I got a baffled VMS catch can. It's about 1 1/4" smaller in diameter than my previous can, and so it will fit along side my power steering resevoir, up behind the passenger headlight. The pliers...

    Nothing special, but I got a baseline dyno of my engine before it gets EMS + 58mm T4

    Anyone else interested in a vinyl dash cover?

    LOL. I'm in Lawrenceville, south of the mall too. Hit me up if you ever need anything. I'm still in full restoration mode for at least another 6 months.

    Arp headstud free spinning

    For studs that are taking that kind of stress, I wouldn't use a regular helicoil. Maybe timesert's.

    New source for direct fit driveshaft carrier (center support) bearings

    So...an '87 turbo has a different center bearing than an '88 turbo??

    6.5" and or 5 1/4" front speaker info

    IIRC, you can, it's just that part of the 6.5" cone will be below the peaker opeing, and blocked by the door panel. And also as Kevin said, you have to cut some of the metal away. PS- What do you mean the audio section is closed? It's just that nobody's posted any new threads there...

    1986.5 7mge -> 2jzge my very first build.

    The manufacturers don't try to make the car perfect, hence recalls, and the aftermarket industry.

    Nothing so exciting. The buttons are momentary switches to open and close the exhaust cutout.
