Wrap the wires tight in electrical tape, then get a roll of adhesive head shield tape, and wrap the loom tight in that, then if you want to go the extra step, throw some bailing wire over top to hold it.
That's what I do. I'll go take a picture of it right now.
Edit: Here. It's not actually on...
No, I'm running 255/45 on the front :)
The car's lowered almost an inch from when this picture was taken. No rubbing issues, except for some slight rubbing at full lock on the fronts against the sway bar.
Heater core lines CAN be blocked no problem, yes. I believe the TB, and ISCV lines can be blocked off too. They just tee off the oil cooler feed, so if they're blocked, it's just more coolant to your oil cooler.
You're not going to gain much by replacing the intercooler. You will gain a lot more by upgrading cams first (it's cheaper too)
Just ask my buddy. Both of our cars were stock JZA70s, both had intake and exhaust. His had intercooler, mine had cams. Mine ran 4 tenths faster in the 1/4
Yeah, torque specs are very close between motors. You can find a 1JZ engine manual if you want (there's a link on the forum somewhere to download it), but 2JZ specs work.
The 2JZ pulley has a longer arm on it, allowing a greater range of motion. The reason I put it on is I have a 2JZ bottom end on my car, and it works with the taller deck height. Hence the "1.5JZ" in my signature. 3L 1JZ baby :)
I'm 99% sure I have a 1JZ tensioner in my attic. I took it off and put a 2JZ one on my car, and I'm pretty sure I kept the old one.
$40, and I'll ship it out to you. Or you can pick it up personally for $20 if you ever come down to Calgary.
As for the vacuum lines on the PS pump, you guys...
See, I think the other way. I figure if you're going through the effort of putting a 1JZ into your car, you might as well go with a 2JZ.
Even my 1.5JZ over my 1JZ was a world of difference. The increased bottom-end made the car a whole new beast.
