    Xarewhyayen's rebuild

haha its okay... check post #6.. i wouldnt even consider dropping in a GE. It wouldnt be worth the time, if that were the case id just replace my hg with a stocker and stock head bolts n deal wit the oil leak i already had. my priorities fell on a motor i could reliably drop in and not blow the...

    Xarewhyayen's rebuild

why? it already has a mhg, a one year warranty, good compression, new seals, and its complete. I can make back 1/4 what im spending, parting out the old motor in the meantime and have a 1 year guarantee. Wheres the loss? i could then take my time getting the best stuff i can for building my new...

Im throwing in the Towel..im out

Ive been told like 50 times in the past few days i should just get a new car. But i dont see the point turning my back on this car. Anything else would be a big step backwards. :) anything i could afford atleast haha. Instead i just spent over 2 grand on a rabid chimp motor ftw

    Xarewhyayen's rebuild

yeah well i think im gonna part out the old motor minus the shortblock, and rebuild it on my spare time... so when the 1 year warranty is up i can throw in the rebuilt bottom end. I cant afford the downtime for a rebuild like i said in the first post... i work 6a-1130am...come home and...

Most rediculous thing ive ever herd

well lets see his truck is lighter and probably stiffer, z rated tires just mean they are rated to handle a high speed. As yellow said, it would come down to the driver. Plus when you say out handle wtf does that signify? nothing. Does it mean its stiffer in turns? does it mean it grips better...

    Turbo Won't boost

gotta be a boost leak... loosen, position again, and tighten all of your clamps... doesnt take that long and im sure itll solve your problem.. Check vaccum hoses too, though theyre all too small to cause you to bog so bad youre making a ton of black smoke and only getting to 2-3 psi.

    My targa brace

I like the laser etch idea, and the idea of it being on the rear plate, in the center. I like your plans to keep it as cheap as possible, but still high quality... Youre doing a kickass job and you'll be famous for this haha. Congrats on owning the first of a soon to be classic. You should do a...

    My 88T vs 87 Built 5.0

i noticed u dropped it to 10 to be safe, wise idea. yes it is odd that it went that high without fuel cut, id check the condition of your AFM... the tsrm has the for resistances across leads of the AFM. Make sure they're in range, maybe its getting more air than it thinks which could be bad And...

    Quick SAFC Question

I think he means becausel hes going to be running higher compression (na block is 9.1:1 as opposed to turbo's 8.4:1 IIRC) correct me if im wrong.... I Think you could be okay without, but if you do go with a SAFC what are you using to tune with? i hope not the stock 02 sensor... hopefully youre...
