Not MAP sensors buddy. Last time I checked, your motor still had to tune in vacuum ;)
3bar = 1bar vacuum + 2bar boost.
MAP sensor = Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
on the intake side of the head. You'll see them right in front of the injectors.
More than likely, if you're throwing a cam position signal, it's a faullty connector, not teh sensor itself.
The only Supra I ever saw rub on stockers was lowered SO much that the lip was literally an inch off the ground.

My Supra's really quiet. I hit rev-limiter a lot now that I recirculated the wastegate because I don't know how high I'm revving :).
I have a rediculously huge muffler and resonator. I'll try to post pictures of it, but it barely fits under the car.

Stock 1JZ MAP sensor, and stock 2JZ MAP sensors are 2.3Bar units. There was a misconception that a 2JZ sensor was an 'upgrade', but it's not.
This means they will read up to ~18psi of boost. You CAN boost higher than that if you would like, but you have to understand that any sort of piggyback...
