Test everything, its what I've always done. Leave everything hooked up and let her rip. You shouldn't have any flow through the exhaust. If you have some turn the crank till it stops. If it doesn't stop, you found your leak (valves).
it still felt slow
the problem is my car is slow, and you'll drive the shit out of it to make it seem like its actually moving.. and break it! haha...
False (about not nice to drive), I drove a OS giken triple with 0 issues at all. Was Extremely easy to drive even with a broke trans starting off in 2nd gear. A stiff pressure plate 6 puck is harder to drive imo.
I do not have the pinouts for the unit. The Solenoid for the hydro pump is in the engine harness, the rest you will have to add (fairly easy though). For the Radiator temp sensor (assuming its the same as the MKIIIs hydro ecu) just use the TRC wires for it (its what I do when I wire an aristo...
if you have a clip I would try to use the aristo's stuff. I think it'll work just need to trim the shroud a little bit (the fan & shroud). You'll have to custom wire the ecu to harness though as it goes through the body harnesses of the car to the ecu.
