    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

Last trip to the drag strip last night, seems 14.8 is the ceiling for this little beast on the tires we have. Dropped the pressure in the slicks to 15psi and it helped some, managed a 2.3s 60' and a 14.76@100. Doing final prep and some cosmetics before we make the 1000mi trip to Gainesville!!

    Dok's E85 powered 2jzge-T build

Not much of an update, but i sent my turbo off yesterday for a rebuild with the goal of having the car back up for the Austin Hill Country Cruise, although I haven't heard any dates yet... Also got a free FC rx7 oil cooler from a buddy for helping him tear his rotary apart in prep for an...

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

Update time! We've been making some minor tweaks and fixes over the past few weeks and hit the track a couple of times. Most significant improvement is the addition of a solenoid to switch between high and low boost for drag launches. Had some issues the first time out but we got it pretty...

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

Forgot to mention, the car weighed right at 2000lbs with myself and a full tank of gas in it which puts us at around 1700lbs dry weight :)

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

Testing weekend went awesome! We're very happy with the way the car ran, especially considering this was our shakedown run! We had a few minor issues but it ran great at the strip and tore up the autox course. It's pretty insane and fairly hard to drive even at 8psi, we're working on devising...

    2JZ NA-T into MK3

It was pretty bad, multiple flutters especially when I let of at partial throttle. I was using a Type s BOV located behind the front bumper near my IC with a really long vac line, live and learn :) I picked up an SSQ and am going to have the flange welded on my IC piping up near the TB.

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

ALOT:naughty: Same HP, 1000lbs lighter :D Tonight was test night, we had a blast for about 20mins until the cops showed up :( We tried to be polite and explain what we were up to and for the most part they were understanding especially when they saw the tow dolly and realized we hadn't...

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

Sure is! More progress this week, after who knows how long the Festy moved under it's own power tonight!! It hauls ass even with a rough tune, pissed off some of my neighbors spinning the tires thru 2nd in my neighborhood :biglaugh: We'll be doing some more tuning tomorrow night with the...

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

With the mounts complete and the motor back in it was time to start buttoning things up and get ‘er running with the new manual transmission. First step was to get the turbo and manifold bolted back on and oil feed/drain lines connected. Luckily someone also pointed out that our aluminum...

    GRM $2009 Project DeathBox

I'm happy to say there's been much progress made in the past couple of months and the Festy is close to moving under it's own power!! Continuing our trend of not meeting goals, we blew on past February and March with no engine or trans mounted. Weddings and personal projects took priority...

    Project Eat My 2jz! (56K? Don't Bother.)

Hang in there, sounds like you're close! The 2jz is not high volume low pressure like the 7m so your oil pressure looks ok, that's about where mine is too. Crazy to actually have oil pressure eh? :) Oil leak sounds like the sender area, did you tap into it for your turbo oil feed? The...
