the sound of a single 1J is hard to beat in my book. 4" exhaust on a single 1J sounds really good too. looks good tho man, you gonna run a intake pipe or just leave it open?

my 1J doesnt have that long black bracket, ill go take a pic here in a few minutes

on the ge id also guess that there is a drive gear for the distributor, which the gte wouldnt have, but no idea if that would affect if they can be interchanged

once you get exhaust youll love it man, with my old T61(.84a/r) and my 4" exhaust, i was getting 1.2 bar by 4200-4300 on my car. youll definatley notice the difference once you get full exhaust

im with joe on that unless the auto is the slowest shifting, slipping, low line pressure auto on the planet. theres very lil chance of beating an auto in shifting
