eh. the turbo coolant lines and tstat bypass on the NA is just that- a bypass for the coolant. i've seen weird cooling issues w/it blocked, i run a line connecting the two....YMMV....
not sure what you're looking for. it has been done....no different than running a VPC+SAFC @ 300 rwhp.
IMNSHO, i think it's retarded. if you're shooting for more than 500 rwhp, get a standalone. the gains from the switch are enough in and of themselves to warrant the switch...
the age old trade-off in batteries is CCA vs. deep cycling. you can't have both, so the batteries will be trended towards one or the other. red tops are for general use, offset towards more CCA and less deep cycling tolerance. yellow and blue tops are made to be deep cycled, but won't have the...
not a problem....we're here to help breed understanding! ;0
the MAFT pro is VERY powerful....drop me a line if/when you're ready.
you got it! take a look @ the link i posted....it explains it pretty well.
gotcha. that's an easy one- you simply haven't tuned for Vf. you MUST satisfy Vf (i.e. what the ECU is trying to do closed loop) or else you'll get exactly what you're experiencing- the ECU undoing what you've done.
thanks for the rundown....i was probably hitting woodward before you could drive...:1zhelp:
with as big as the cruise has gotten, the actual day isn't my cup of tea. i will, however, head out the few weeks prior/after since that's far more fun...
you will certainly see some gains using any tuning device on a stock setup. the gains come from both leaning it out a bit and the timing advance that comes from backing down the AFM signal.
gains vary from car to car....especially in cars as old as ours. look for 5-20 rwhp.
not worth your time. the LAST thing woodward needs is a bunch of broken down crappy MKIIIs clogging the streets...it's more of a mullet thing, let them enjoy it....
werd. find the same thing on mcmaster, etc.
oh well, i'm all about BLING:
for my "new" setup i simply drill/tapped the underside of the intake manifold for some big NPT (3/4"? i forget...) and used an adaptor fitting to -10, -10 line to feed the manifold (-10 because i'm now running my...
