Yeah I was thinking the same thing as Bmettie.
Tear it down past the inner timing cover. If you're lucky, you might have had the retainer bolt unscrew itself, and the retainer is hitting the inside of the timing cover.
Worst case scenario, is that the retainer seperated from the shaft. As for...

Pull all of the spark plug wires off the plugs, and look into the holes? Is there any oil or water accumulating? If so, that'll cause engine cutout under anything more than light throttle. Dry out those areas by pushing in paper towels with a long screwdriver. That area must be bone dry.
Fuel cut on a regular CT is usually around 10-12, but once you swap out to Lex and 560's, that all changes.
I wouldn't be trying to ask for more than 15psi out of any CT, regardless.
Check for boost leaks already. It takes all of ten minutes.
So, I pulled the head this afternoon.
Both surfaces looked good, as did the gasket. In fact, the gasket looks perfect- none of the viton even broke.
However, it seemed like the entire surface of the gasket was oily, as was the deck surface, so I think that the oil passages weren't sealing...
