well on that note, i'm gonna havta remember who told me they were fwd, and slap 'em silly... prolly some kid at highschool :-/ (no longer have to see that place ever again)... but now i know... don't race a stealth rt from a stop :icon_bigg
my experience so far has been very good... i got a 89 7m-gte motor... came w/ an auto tranny, full wiring harness + some other misc electronics, but it has about 19k miles on it (about 26k kilometers) i took it apart, re-built the head for security, and put on a new hg + arp head studs... only...
more power than the previous 350z i raced... by about 40 more hp, but i've also worked out some issues on my motor.. (boost leaks, ignition timing, stuck bov)
raced from 35... i was in 1st... bad choice... we hit it on the 3rd honk, and i hit fuel cut and shifted to 3rd... 350 had 1/2 a car...
never went 1j, but the reson being, probably because i've never had the oportunity to either ride in/drive a 1j car... i blew my original gte (due to previous owner's lousy care) and just figured the easiest/most cost effective optionw as the 7m... so far, i'm very pleased with the motor, but...
hm... well, i dunno what this has to do with anything, but the old (trashed) motor i had would start up almost instintaniously, but the jdm motor i have now takes a few seconds (2-3) to start, then again, my plug wires are as old as the motor, and have sat around for a WHILE in some junk yard.
alright, will do :)... reason i say afm, is because i've had problems w/ it before, and i've ruled out almost every other posibility, but i'll go ahead and test it. thanks for the input
dallas
threw a 24, 31, and 34... i've checked for boost leaks and fixed all that i found... now, the afm has always had problems in the plug area (it's been loose, and the connector on the inside of the afm has been snapped before... i'm gonna go ahead and assume that I should replace the afm... since...
