Yesterday, (Sunday) Light Blue MK3 87/88 headed north just out of Kalama at 3:47pm. Just past the Kalama River Bridge actually. Targa was off and it actually looked like honestabe. Was this you?
Thanks for the compliments Devin!
I'm glad to see that your cooling problem is resolved. I would like to have seen Brass End Tanks instead of Plastic; but, meh......this rad should you for a while.
Keep the rubber side down! :)
Sorry for the delayed reply Ron. Been busy battling for new wheels... ;)
I'm fairly certain that the washers are not the issue. It sounds like you've got the same problem as me. A loosening diff... If you leave the car in gear, grab the driveline and rotate it back and forth, how much...
Power Drop:
What's the condition of your alternator?
Grounding:
Was the bolt you used in the trunk painted? If so, remove the bolt and use a wire brush (or similar) to remove any and all paint from the entire bolt. Also, make sure that the threads and/or hole are paint free as well...
Tapping and/or splicing are different than cutting. By tapping/splicing all attached devices get power. I recently read a post on the "other" forum where a guy splices in to the Cig Lighter for everything he adds. This will make him a sad supra owner someday. ;) Try to spread out your power...
I hope we won't be reading another rebuild thread when he decides to push it. Components may have already been compromised...
Good numbers so far though! ;)
All you need is a hot chick to flag you down a ride when she breaks.
And if there only ends up being room for her........I hope you'll be wearing comfortable shoes.
All joking aside, I take a Quart of oil (especially because what I run is available everywhere), a Gallon of water, Duct...
I would consider taking down the thread for.......ohhhhh.......let's see......yeah, that's it! 1 MILLION DOLLARS to EVERY registered SM Member!!!!!!
Anyone else in agreement?
You're welcome. I hope that takes care of it. ;)
Another way to confirm that your rad is the problem is, once the car is at op temp, get a laser thermometer and look for hot spots. Another possibility is that your transmission is overheating...
Just out of curiosity, is the rad coming from...
Lol... :)
Glad it worked!
Well, you're being plagued by a ~21 year old engine harness. Your best bet is to do some continuity checks to find out which wire(s) it is. My guess would be that it's the CPS wires.
That may be a better alternative. I'd sure hate to get rid of my change holder though... ;)
That's pretty funny Mike! Well, we both know we have good taste already. Two Black 91's!!!! :biglaugh:
Well, they want to get this thing resolved as quick as possible. So do I! I told them...
