Ok then maybe I should have asked for a definition of resurfacing first. My understanding of resurfacing (before) was to have the head and block milled or shaved or whatever you want to call it, and that lapping was above and beyond. Also I have heard, since I havent checked into machine work...
Ive had someone tell my that adding electric fans to these MK3's can cause cooling problems, especially at high way speeds. Has anyone had this experience or is it totally false? Thanks
do you guys swear by getting the head and block lapped like Reg recommends. Im looking for all your guys experience who has or hasnt had it don, but particulary, the ones who havent had that step and have miles are their motor as proof. Thanks
Well I dont know what happened but ignore that last post of mine cause for one reason or another im in the same boat the I was before. I dont understand because with my last post everything was back to normal except the revving up and then dying problem. So I checked into a couple more thing...

Ok you guys are obviously pretty knowlegeable and I have yet to hear a definite answer to this question. I am planning a turbo upgrade to my NA and I need to know if the NA block is identical to the turbo. My NA only has 58000 miles and of course I would rather use my block then go with...
Can anyone please guide me on how to tighten the crankshaft pulley to the recommended 195 lb ft of torque without the crank turning on you? Any help would be appreciated
