back to the basics guys. Check for vacuum leaks. My car was having a similar problem. Wouldnt die but stumbled alot. Wouldnt idle well at all. Was a cracked vacuum hose. The one connecting the turbo accordian hose and through the metal pipe atached to the 3000 pipe going to the other side...
ok so is that the consensus of this forum? That cometic is better than the HKS or Greddy. And of course im looking for facts based on personal experiences and not opinions. Thanks in advance
Interesting info guys. Thanks But honestly it sounds like Chevy is getting the same pressure roughly that IJ is getting without the squirters. Now the question is, is the direct leak of oil pressure from the squirters that CJ refers to, a real issue or not?
I wouldnt recommend anyone changing their oil every 10,000 miles. I even contacted mobil 1 about this and they said that even though they had heard of people doing this that they would never recommend it. In my opinion oil still gets dirty and regardless how good the oil is it still is...
ok guys so Ij's post confused me. No squirters? Arent the squirters a benefit to the gte's? And how would it help handle the volume problem if they arent there??
Well unfortunately Siman I have no experience with a Turbo car in the winter time since im just getting into them. I have 3 cars now, 2 of them turbo and 1 with a blown head gasket. I bought the turbo im driving now originally for parts, as I wasnt sure it would run. But I got it running and...
Ok point taken Siman thanks for the info. So dont you agree that 20w50 might a be a dangerous choice in say the winter time? I mean that weight oil has to be like molasses at cold temps and might take too much time to thin down before its giving the protection it should?
correct me if Im wrong Siman, but the 0w or 5 w or 10w ect is a number that determines the flow factor of the oil. The second number is the weight of the oil. In that case the lower the first number the better because the oil will get to vital engine parts at startup cause it will flow much...
Guys I dont know if any of you like mobil 1 synthetic but they now have 5w40 and 0w40 weights which have the best flow rates but still offer the protection of 40 weight oil. The 0w40 comes standard from the factory in high performance motors like the corvette, benz AMG, Dodge Srt 10 and others...
Well I got an answer on mine today from the toyota dealership. Ya know they gave me a diagnosis for no charge and at least I have an idea of what it might be. Anyway they said its the wheel bearings and they recommened changing the whole hub cause they said the bearing probably scarred up the...
thats a good question sith. That tube has to be pretty long and there is no telling where the clog might be. I wont say a coat hanger as it wont be long enough and you take a chance on puncturing the tube. Myabe a fish tape that you use to fish wires through walls in a house. I would find...
If these cars are set up like most then it most likely has a drain tube the goes from the sunroof under the headliner and back down through one of the rear quarter panels. If this tube is there and is clogged then you will definitely get water in the car as it cant drain properly.
im not familiar with the bolt in question but what does it thread into? A backing nut or just a threaded hole? Either way check the threads of the hole this bolt is going into. I say this because I build Toyota's for a living and I see, all the time, a bolt that will shoot in its intended hole...
Brand new Lexus AFM? How much did that cost??? And yes if the CPS if off by a tooth it will run, but I would think you would notice if this were the case as it will idle very bad
I know humming noises can be wheel bearings as I had a car that did that once. Does it get louder as you turn the steering one way or another? I have a thumping noise in my car right now and cant figure it out Thought it was the tires but I put a different set on and its still there. Its...
