Well, the build thread in my signature is "project get'r done". In that one i use a metal substrate cat. In my second build, "project get'r driving", i used a two pass cat. Its made by thunderbolt. No pics of it, though.

Damn, thats huge power, considering stock block, and stock intake manifold. My setup is somewhat similar to yours, except im 6266, and no e85. Great to see >550hp on the stock intake manifold. It makes me hopeful!

JJ- i had a concern about my alternator. Mine seems to work just fine, but i Was worried that it was running too hot. I find that going from a cold start(80f ambient) to a 3 minute idle, will bring the temperature of the case up towards 150 degrees. Does this sound normal. No electrical load...

Just bought a 2 element cat, to replace the 3" test pipe on mine. Im emissions exempt, but dont want the smell of the exhaust anymore.

I believe its a vesitigial part; something that was there for a distributor or something else, in some previous incarnation of the block. Kinda like the access port under the fuel J tube, for running a mechanical fuel pump.

Yeah, I looked through my parts boxes, and it looks like I gave away those bushings. But if you want new oem type bushings, might as well get new upper A-arms. That way, you have new upper ball joints/ boots as well. Dorman, Part numbers 520-487, 520-488 - roughly $57 each, shipped. Can't beat...

So, are you saying that this was happening with an alternator that only put out 11 volts? If so, I'd wonder if the coils were getting full power. Also, I stay away from Champion spark plugs(and Bosch). I've had best luck with NGK, Denso and Autolite's.

Is it a new belt? Be sure that you have the right part number- maybe the new belt has one too many or too few teeth?

What's the 3rd plug for on the back of this radio? Are they line out signals that could be used for external amplification, or inputs from a cd changer or something?
