No. The 3S is transversely mounted. The transfer case, and front differential are built into the transmission, which is also housed in the engine compartment beside the motor.
You're probably thinking of the MKII/MKIII Celica (XA6X, XA4X) which actually used a W series transmission (usually a...
Simple answer: yes you can tee off of it.
More complicated answer: depending on the input impedances of the two connections, you may have some signal skew, which you would need a bias resistor to compensate for.
off-topic answer: I'm a little drunk right now, and your car is awesome.

Why not. I do it.
With the 2JZ's increased stroke, you're going to have 20% more volume than the ECU thinks. To compensate, you need 20% larger fuel injectors (440cc will be close enough).
Everything else will be fine.
It's still an A body.
A MKII is more of a Supra than a bloated MKIII any day. It's lighter, more comfortable, and handles better. And with a 7M-GTE, it's faster too.
lol@ speed cut.
Well, atleast that's easy to fix.
You want a really simple hack to remove it: cut the pink wire (speed sensor), and route the ECU side of it to one of the injector wires. That way it still gets a signal, and doesn't throw a CEL.
