We're still ironing some details; but, here is some definitive information: (this is directly from the builder)
Shipping: I plan on finding an agency that will guarantee to meet or beat any other prices I may find. So you might mention that I am going to do such and if anyone wants or can find...
I don't know. Does anyone else?
I apologize if I misled. It will be similar to Tekdeus' hood. We've all decided on that already; but, we need to come to an agreement on an exact measurement so the mold can be made accordingly.
Trust me! This is NOT the "Billy Ray Cyrus Mullet Camaro...
Yeah, he also said with as much boost as he's running that he's been living life a 1/4 mile at a time. I said, "well.....that much boost will cause danger to manifold...."
A small update to this saga...
I asked my buddy the other day if he'd ever heard from his brother-in-law as to why he didn't show. Apparently, he'd been double-clutching the car and smoked his clutch. The car is currently apart in his garage and getting a new clutch.
With it being winter...
I smoked an F1 Stage 2 Clutch on my first pass after a proper 500 mile break in. Why you might ask? Because I got dooped! It was an OEM painted blue.
If you're not going to make a lot of power for a while, an OEM will do just fine.
I spoke with the builder this morning and have a couple more details.
-This Hood will retain the use of Hood Struts
-This Hood will retain the use Windshield Washer Squirters.
We need to decide on Cowl Height.
I will start nailing down payment, warranty, and shipping details, and will...
Thanks for posting those pics. I'll hopefully get some answers on the rad vent today...
Our hood will be full CF. We do have the option of material choice once the mold is done. If you'd prefer fiberglass or kevlar, that is doable.
I'm sure there's a way... ;) I'll get details on that tomorrow.
I had to work a ton of hours today and wasn't able to call him until late this evening. He didn't pick (which I don't blame him ;)); but, I expect to hear from him tomorrow.
You're on the list! :)
Those two things are important to me as well. I should be able to get a hold of him tomorrow.
Thus far, it is going to look like Tekdeus' hood. I know you've seen that one in person. ;)
Yeah, don't worry about shipping Matt. We'll make other arrangements.
Yes, the transactions will be...
It sounds like you're going to be asking more than I'm wanting to pay. I'm basically looking for a stocker that I can put my 20g on and daily beat up so the Soup stays safe in the garage. ;)
Yep. Like already stated, with E85 and their programmable ECU's, it's definitely possible. That's a 4G63T for ya!
I'm currently shopping for a GSX... ;)
^That would suck!
I used the hose in my Compression Tester Kit. It threads in to the spark plug hole and just so happened to have the right air fitting. Yeah, the PVC tool was kind of ghetto; but, it worked. ;)
There is no specific sequence.
TDC (Top Dead Center) is when the piston is at the top of it's stroke. You'll want to look down in the spark plug hole with a flash light to see where the piston is. Then rotate the crank by hand until the piston is at the top. Then put a wooden dowel in the...
I will get the details on this; but, my understanding is that the hood will be designed to make installation of pins/clasps easy. As in you won't have to drill through a main brace or support to install them.
He did mention that he would be able to install them for those that want them. Aside...
Not a fan of the rope trick.
Here's what I did because I didn't want to break the HG Seal: Start at post #273
