Whoa...Just seen your sig. Kind of humorous you did that...:icon_surp
Pat - I don't think he meant that on a personal level...but it was most definately wrong for him to say that.
I think that just about everyone buying a used car that's been modified can see what he's saying...because...
Hello Steve. :)
Glad to know you have a lifelong held love for your A70.
Out of the blue, but have you ever even had a new headgasket and retorque on your car?
If not, 300,000mi is very impressive. :-)

About 3 years now, and it's the same everytime I drive it.
Best feeling in the world...Even after your windshield gets sprayed with 2 gallons of coolant after a 120mph pull goes bad.
:biglaugh:
Just messing...But it is humorous sometimes to peak in the corner of your eye as you're...
You're talking about the SCC issue with Duane featured in the article of the "Old School" cars running the road course at Willow Springs.
I've got the issue somewhere, but I'd have to find it!
I just know that he had the highest MPH on the long strech of Willow Springs...:biglaugh:

Cadillac Eldorado repping the big Northstar V8. :biglaugh:
Unfortunately, this "beater" does not serve as getting better gas mileage than my Supra...They are about the same.
Matt - Awesome write up. Your pictures though...LOL, could've used some help, but it looks great.
Don't know if anyone noticed this (or even Matt for that matter)...
BUT YOUR TEMPERATURE IS NAILED TO THE TOP OF THE GAUGE!!! :aigo:
:biglaugh:
Again, very nice though. ;)
-Jeff
BHP usually makes reference to crank or "base" horsepower.
With magazines, and them making the assumption that not ALL readers know terminology, they usually say XXXhp *AT THE WHEELS*...
So, If he's throwing out a figure of 571BHP, I'd say he had it engine dynamometered. :D
-Jeff
I'm lol'ing at this discussion so far.
There is NO declared winner, FYI.
For anyone saying they'd hold off and buy a "combo" (HDDVD+Blu)...
Don't waste your money.
I won't even bother to get into technical reasoning over who has biggest advantages and which one "looks better"...It's...
I think I know what you're talking about. My car is an '88...I had these clear corners before I put on my 89+ bumper.
Even with the 89+ bumper, since I'm still using the pre89 corners, I think it still has that same effect...but I do know what you're saying.
I had another Supra owner I was...
You guys have all said the obvious - It's a VERY nice ride. :D
But can anyone say..."PRE EIGHTY NINE FOR THE WIN"??? :biglaugh:
With the front end looking like that, I'd say I'd take that setup over any 89+ Front end.
Congrats, Adam.

Wow...How do you search for and dig up a thread like this??? :aigo:
Well...I still have never had the oppourtunity to come across this car yet...
But to this day, almost a year ago, I still remember it by heart.
The more I think about it, the more I liked it. It was very different...
Most definately impressive.
Lean is Mean. :biglaugh:
It is a tad bit lean passed what I'd consider to be safe zone for me...
But with 16psi, you can do nothing but smile. :)
Congrats, Get some 550's, Tune, and Smile as you break the 450 barrier...
Then 500...
Then send a PM to...
It's not even that shimming the wastegate is a BAD thing...
But you are putting extra stress on your wastegate spring...
Which, in time, will start giving you issues with boosting and hitting fuel cut at random times.
For the record, if you were to throw (3) 7mm washers on each wastegate...
