Ok. Got a lot done today. Here's the soup sitting on the new coilovers. As much as I like it this low, it's just too low. She'll be coming up about an inch or so... Not the best pics I know; but, this was the best I could do since she isn't back together yet...

Looking for some feedback/info on cams...

BC's specs on their 272's are 8.68 mm of lift. They feel that upgraded springs and retainers are necessary. Isn't that to keep the shims where they're supposed to be? Is it really necessary or is that a marketing ploy? :sarcasm:

Does anyone know what the limit of the stock valve springs are before the shims get tossed? I've heard that 264's are the limit; but, since there are different duration/lift combinations, I don't think that's a good "rule of thumb" to go by.

Looking for some feedback/info on cams...

Of the the above three choices, I'd say 264's with adjustable cam gears; but, as Poodles pointed out, it's kind of an open ended question...

    timing help

The following is partly my opinion and partly my findings. Take it as you will... The stock ECU closed loop operation is a force to be reckoned with! At best, very few maft pro users have accomplished closed loop control to a satisfactory level. The stock ECU can add/subtract as much as 25%...

    timing help

How do the AFR readings on the pro compare to the readings on your wideband? vf should be around ~2 volts at idle. Adjust the idle using the VE table instead of the mainscale. DO NOT BOOST UNTIL YOU GET THE AFR'S SORTED OUT!!!! :)

    Turbonetics/Performance Techniques in CA.

Dude...I respect you for taking baby steps. There are a lot of guys who either install turbos that are too big for their setup or turn up the boost without supporting mods. A friend of mine (gotadiesel) has all of the supporting mods and is running a CT26-57 Trim and likes it. He made great...

Sorry for the delay. I somehow missed this thread resurrection! ;) Just as hvyman stated, I too have had ZERO problems. I ran that turbo for about a year at 12 psi. I have since moved on to bigger things; but, it is now sitting on my shelf wrapped in plastic to be a backup turbo when my JT62...
