New year, new build: 1991 2JZ- CA street-legal LS7 killer

I found a diamond grinder at Sears and after about an hour, no joke, I finally cut the damned thing out. I gave up on tapping it so I cleaned up the hole with a larger bit and used JB weld to put the bung on there. I'll be attempting to begin the turbo swap tomorrow. Collin

Almost... I was going to swap the turbos today and document all of other stuff I have done but I broke a tap off in the exhaust manifold while trying to tap for the EGT probe. Now I have to figure out how to remove a hardened tap from cast iron. :( Maybe next weekend? Collin

    what a long weekend!!

Congrats on figuring it out! I have fought with getting the CPS in on the right tooth everytime it's come out. Luckily, I don't have one anymore. ;) Collin

    rear seat delete kit

Remove the seats and sound deadener then find a nice carpet and glue it down to cover the bare metal... That looks the best imo and that's how mine will look when I stop being lazy and finish removing the sound deadener. Collin

^^^ Photoshop or not, that looks pretty sick! I've got an 89+ bumper skin laying around and you're giving me ideas. Collin

New year, new build: 1991 2JZ- CA street-legal LS7 killer

Update time! The turbo swap is still on hold because the Supra is still my daily and I'm not badass enough to try and do it in a day. I'm selling the Audi because the Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection is a nightmare. I'll hopefully replace it with something that drives so the Supra can...

Very nice and straight! Very few have made it this far with everything lining up so perfectly. It needs a wash, though. :icon_razz

I live about a mile from an awesome canyon. My car sees it quite often.:) Canyon carving and road course type stuff is what my car is getting built for. Collin

    Lets see your fog lights!

I'm looking for pics of aftermarket or modified fog lights in both pre-89 and 89+ bumpers. My stock foglight lenses are chipped and look like crap and I'm exploring other options before buying new ones. I've seen a few tasteful aftermark options, but I'm looking for more examples. Thanks, Collin

New year, new build: 1991 2JZ- CA street-legal LS7 killer

I fully intend to remove all the airbag crap when I change the steering wheel. For now, I'll let my little light keep shining bright. I really don't even notice it anymore. lol Well, since I'm here, I might as well give an update: I have decided that I want to do some more stuff while the...

    275's all around!

I'm considering those wheels in 17x9 all around, 255/40R17 tire, and some pics showing the whole car from a little further away would be great. I'm curious how they will look on a white car. Thanks, Collin

    California New Car???

How about let's not f^&k up that already prefectly set-up car? An I6 in those cars hurts the weight distribution too much IMO. It's all about LSx swaps in 240's. :D I still think I supra can perform just fine. My question is, however, if this dude has already had a Z32, why isn't he just...

    California New Car???

First, MKIII's can drift with the right suspension setup. Trust me, I've seen it. The extra weight is only a problem if the suspension won't fight back. They have plenty of power regardless of what engine you have (my N/A got sideways pretty well), and the weight distribution isn't bad at all...

I'm planning a home depot lip. It's a little different than any I have seen, though. I really need to stop talking about it and actually do it. :) Collin

I think the bumper looks great! Flush mount headlights, on the other hand, I have yet to see any that I like. I look forward to seeing yours, though! Collin
