I got rid of all my JDM twin stuff when I went to a single. I originally went single because the JDM twins were crappy. I actually just picked up a 99% complete USDM twin setup, so the conversion will be underway shortly.

Here's how. :icon_roll
And please guys, don't start asking questions about "how do I make my car legal?" That's not why this thread is here. It's here for me to document my build and answer questions related to my build.
Thanks! :)

The valving adds turbulance and restricts the airflow. The spool will never be as early as with the sequential setup, but I will see more top end power. Some of the MKIV guys running modded twins who have removed the valving as I intend to do claim that the difference in spool is almost nothing...
I used to be a part of that "hondur" crowd. I still associate quite a bit, and I have done my share of legalized Honda engine swaps. Since we also tend to be profiled less than other import guys do, at least in my experience, getting this reff'd should very easy.
Yeah, I'm planning to see how far I can get on 100% stock turbos, good tuning, and possibly some 264 cams. I only say cams because the JDM 2JZ cams are less aggressive than USDM cams, and it seems like a waste to go through all that trouble to still have a pair of stock cams. :)
That all depends on what he's ticketing you for. The rules for modified intake and exhaust systems are still in effect. I will have to run a CARB approved intake/filter setup to be truely legal, and technically any modification of the exhaust system before the catalytic converter is illegal...
So, yeah, I "BAR'd" is what I was referring to on the 1st page.
The only difference between my engine engine and a USDM GTE is the head (EGR vs. non-EGR). The emissions vacuum routing will be identical to a USDM GTE. The only stuff I will be changing is in relation to the turbos. None of...
I've heard this before, but I thought people were referring to the referee process at the BAR test stations like I was talking about earlier in this thread. Is this different? Explain?
Thanks,
Collin
The T04R hits great! Yours will spool faster, but mine makes boost just below 3K, and depending upon ambient air temperature and fun stuff like that, full boost by 3.5K to 4K rpms. If you're already at a higher rpm and lay into the throttle, the spool is almost instant, which is perfect for what...
Any engine swap is legal as long as:
- It is the same year or newer than the vehicle (Check!)
- It has the same or greater power than the stock engine (Check!)
- It retains all properly functioning emissions equipment (USDM 2JZ-GTE head, intake manifold, and EGR will have to be installed for...
C6 Z06 Corvette: 505HP at the crank
Stu Hagen's modified twin MKIV: 530WHP
There's a weight difference, but when I'm done there won't be much. I'll get there. :) I'm not so much interested in completely destroying as much as hanging with and then some. If I can do that, I'm still in pretty...
^^^ I understand what you're saying.
I'm simply testing the waters to see if it's even worth my trouble to try and sell it on here when I pull it off. If I can't sell it, then I might just keep it.

Alright, got a vid together to show what it does!
The off-boost acceleration was part throttle shifting at about 3500rpm. As you can tell, the turbo is already spooling by then. Like I said, the spool is quick.
Enjoy!
Edit: fixed the sound errors using a different format.

*** This setup is not for sale! I'm just looking for oppinions! ***
I'm thinking about going back to stock twins as my goals for this car have changed, and I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in my single setup.
Specs:
-T04R turbo, 4" inlet, 2.5" outlet, 3" vband exhaust...
