i dont think it actually matters as long as you wire injector pairs into 3 of the wires and 1 of the wires back into the line they all merge to

my pre-89 resistor had red, black, yellow and white i think (not sure on all of them tho)

my guess would be moreso to search the overseas MKIII forums as it may have been done over there already

they both fit, if they didnt, then 3/4s of the 1J/2J swaps on here are magical on the drivers side it fits no problem on the pass side, you will have to move the mount back one set of holes for it to work

explain how it doesnt match up pics would help as well

alright its fixed, turns out that the black wire had broken off at the alt connector, put a new connector on and it runs 13.6v at idle now

an RB26 has been swapped into a MKIV, so im sure it can be put into a MKIII, sure as hell isnt gonna be easy tho
