Got another question for you gurus!

I'd suggest that you just buy a new set of lights, probably the easiest way. However, wolfie003 (I believe that's his name on here, he's in the UK and sells clear side lenses and door panel lenses for our cars) told me of a good way to get the lights apart...

What quality coilovers are left for our MkIIIs. (Track wise)

Get yourself a set of really sticky tires and a nice brake setup. Andy (ARZ) on here has told a few stories of his customers outbraking the AWD guys like it's nothing. :)

    Recommended Tires

Another way to look at it is this: A harder compound will be easier to spin. Spinning tires generally wear out quickly. So if you don't (because you can't) spin them, they should last just fine. ;) Anyway, I've had a few sets of sticky tires over the years. Loved the Goodyear GS-D3, but they're...

Anyone know about steering rack updates?

I'll probably be looking into a new rack as a means of my mini-restoration on the widebody. If it's more than beyond a reasonable price, does anyone know of a good reman unit for our cars?

Crazy how fast your life can flash in front of your eyes..

FFS man... sorry to see this. If you do intend to buy something both newer AND nicer, you're going to be spending a hefty chunk of change there... These cars are among the nicest I've ever been in for what is asked of them. All that said, I'd consider a real tank at this point. M35A2? Someone...

What you didnt expect to find in your Supra

You know those little spring loaded coin holders in 90's GM's? That had a spot for the quarter, a spot for the nickel, and a spot for the dimes/pennies? I had one of those loaded up with all the change from the car in it, had it sitting on my lap, and when I got out of the car, it fell out of my...

    New Initial D: Stage 5

Glad you enjoy it man. I'll say this much about it, I've never wanted a Nissan L-engine more than I did hearing it in that show... I still have yet to get around to watching the movie, but I have seen a couple clips. Will get to it someday. :) Really is a shame that it doesn't seem like it...

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

Well, hoping that a combination of the early shift this week (7-4pm) and supposedly warmer (low to high 40's) weather will grant me the sunlight and the warmth to knock this out this week. Would have done it this weekend, but the white shit fell from the sky and the weather got down pretty...

    Supra Sucessor Confirmed! Read here:

I'll read the article, but I get the feeling I've read this same thing about 12 times in as many years... not holding my breath. Then again, I didn't think GM would have the balls to make the Solstice, I didn't think Chrysler would have the balls to make the Crossfire (even if it was a *bit*...

    Engine dies/died

Something I ran into recently, my harness to battery connection was down to TWO strands of the wire. Was enough to run the radio, lights, what have you, but would not start the car like that. Worth taking a look into to eliminate that idea, as well as making sure your battery is secure. ;)

    1jz does not run

How's your harness wiring to the battery? I foolishly ran my car for a few years without a battery tie down in place. From all the cornering and spirited driving, the battery had eventually moved around so much that I was left with TWO strands of the harness to battery connection. Was cutting...

    Fuel Regulator Jammed

Sorry to hear of your troubles. In general, there are a few things you just don't want to cheap out on with turbo engines: -Fuel delivery. Because stuff melts when fuel delivery goes bad. -Wastegate. Because while a LOT of boost is a LOT of fun, it generally isn't going to be accounted for on...

Fuel cut = check engine light? 1jz break up at 4500 rpm

Scottie, has anyone suggested different coils to you? Breakup is often an ignition issue on our cars once they start being pushed a bit.

    T56 swap onto 2jz pics

OS Gilken clutch there? Anyway, I always did love the T56. An LS3/T56 swap into a Miata has been on my mind lately... I can already hear my wallet crying though, so I doubt I'd pursue it.

You know you're a Supra owner when...

It starts like that. Eventually you find yourself in shoes like mine or Razoe's, then it's, "OMG I have 3 or 4 Supras!" :p it's a disease I tell ya... but I am grateful to be able to have it.

steering mod , think it would work?

Any time you heat up metal significantly, it can weaken it, correct? Now unless you plan on cutting through that ABS sensor provision with a hack saw, you're probably going to be heating that up quite a bit... Anyway, IJ, you had a pretty nasty steering component failure a couple years back...

Conversion from NA to SUPERCHARGED NOT Turbo....

A couple view points of my own, although some of the ideas presented are quite interesting to me... -I can only think of maybe 2-3 modern boosted cars running superchargers anymore, most are high end sport/super cars. -A small, responsive turbocharger setup will make a smaller engine feel...

    Drift suspension intel

I would argue with you there on account that the stock Mk3 seat (despite the weight) is probably the most supportive and comfortable seat I've ever sat in in a car. Now, if it just doesn't fit you very well, maybe then start looking into buckets. I still want to slap whoever came up with the...

Furious But Lazy 7M owner who gave Up.

Ahhh, say no more sir, I can see what you mean there. My car has been the VERY same to me as well. In fact, I posted an old blog I wrote about it in Off Topic a couple weeks back. :) Sheesh, I think mine must be at least 10 by now... not even sure where it came from now. :p You sir, are a sick...
