Ok, big update! I got myself a manual gauge test kit thing (surprisingly hard to find at local stores...) and here are the results:
Cold start
50 psi at 1200 rpm
lowers to 40 psi after approx. 10 seconds
gets down to 30 psi and the coolant temp is starting to rise
Hot idle @ ~900 rpm...
I didn't personally but the shop that checked and polished the crank did. The plugs looked shiny and new so I trust it was done. Are you thinking metal particles are in the engine?
I'm pretty sure it's the rods, I've been listening to this engine for ages now. Just went out to make sure the gauge sender and wiring was all in order (no transportation to go get a mechanical gauge right now) and it's all still the same. Tapping sound is louder, sounding just like last time :(

I should probably mention there is a slight tapping noise starting to come from the engine.... very similar to the past 2 tapping noises that led to rods a knockin' though.
I really don't believe there's zero oil pressure though so a mechanical...
When I had 4.30s it "felt" a lot faster. But 1st gear went by so fast it was pretty much useless and 2nd wasn't much better.... I swapped to 3.73s and am happy with highway cruising but I dunno about drag racing. I'd imagine for 1/8 mile it would net you faster times to go with 4.30s though.
I've been having a strange oil pressure issue ever since I've had my current 7M-GTE. A short history of it:
-Bought as a JDM import engine, cleaned it up & installed new HG and dropped it in. Ran for maybe 600 miles and rod knocked. During this time my oil pressure gauge was not hooked up so...
JW, what are the differences between the KDW2 and the g-Force Sport? I am very happy with my g-force sports (but I'm not anywhere near 500 hp) but also saw BFG KDW and KDW2 tires for sale.
That doesn't come stock with a MKIII? :biglaugh: Pretty crazy to see a mildy modded 7M beat a 1JZ! I liked my 4.30s a lot, but highway driving with a R154 was a bit of a pain with them.

When I swapped my handles out the lock cylinder came out with the handle. Just unplug the wire coming from it and take the handle out with the lock, and take the lock cylinder off when the handle's out of the car.
