If its a 5 speed it will just run off the clutch safety switch. Auto will have a neutral safety switch from the gear selector on the side of the trans. You may want to check the fuses in the driver kick panel to see why your gauges don't work.
If you have oil in your ic coming from the turbo the only place it can come from is the turbo. You can rebuild yours if you want just look around there are a couple of walk throughs that will show you how. Make sure you follow them and pay attention to the fact its a left handed thread on the...
First off as everyone has said high side pressures are too high, and low side are too low. The two main causes for this are restriction on high side or TXV sticking. As for r12 vs 134A I am a little on the fence from most people on this one. There is not a large difference in the temps you...
Well the NL and PL are only for automatic transmissions, it says (a/t) if you look. Meaning your car wont have this. You will have a neutral safety switch on the clutch for a 5 speed. If it was an auto to 5 speed conversion you will either need to route the wires from the harness to the...
Valve seals will get oil into the cylinders then blow it out of the exhaust so you would have oil in your down pipe. This would not put oil in your ic. If there is oil in the ic it should be from the compressor housing in the turbo, or more specifically the front shaft seal in the turbo.
Well if you have time tomorrow (Saturday), bring it up to my shop and we can get it up on a lift and test everything out. The inspection will be free so there is nothing to lose, just a drive to Norcross. Were at the corner of Spalding and Holcomb Bridge if your familiar with the area.
As for me I like dynomat because it not only will help with the heat it will also quiet road and engine noise in the car. The trans tunnel would also be a good place to put dynomat but I was thinking the easy route, its not too much work to pull the carpets back to dynomat the floor and...
May want to check your rear arms, I remember I had some pretty bad noises from mine before I replaced them, also it was making it so that when I was driving and hit the brake hard at low speed the tire would buckle in. Maybe try that low speed hard braking to see if its suspension instead of...
You could try dyno matting the floor board on the inside of the car under the carpet and on the fire wall where you can. It works pretty well for heat blocking, had to do that in my jeep cj7 to cool it off.
I had a very bad clunk noise in my turbo because the center support bearing was very bad. Besides that in half shaft do you mean one of the axles from diff to wheel or one of the two parts of the drive shaft.
In the case of the axles to wheels I have never seen them go bad on any car that has...
They are plug and play with the exception of having to replace the flasher so they won't blink fast. In the pics I did not have the pig tail on the lights yet so I used the booster box for power. The light output with the covers on seems to be about perfect, the whites may still be a little to...
Aright so I got the lights done, I don't know if I am going to add pwms to them or not really I just made this set to test and sell so its gonna be up to the buyer I guess. So here are the pictures finished on my wifes car. I don't have a car with an 89 front bumper on it so I stuck them on...
Alright so I took some more pics and left some out yesterday of what they look like when its dark. Also I took some pics to show how bright they really are.
Really bright, given its not far from the ground but holding it higher doesn't change much.
This is pitch black outside no lights on...
On another note, I am thinking of getting some boards made for the setup that will include a pwm for brightness control and voltage regulation. I just want to know how many of you would be interested as in I may do a group buy if enough people are interested. I know clearcorners.com used to...
As I said this is a spare clear set from a 89 I will end up selling them. I am planning on making these as I go but people will either need to supply me a set they want modified, or I can buy sets and modify them and sell them. More on that later now I just want to get the general idea of what...
So there are several setups I am playing with some look better while the lights are off but don't look as good with the lights on and others look good with the lights on but not as good with the lights off, let me know which ones you guys like. Also this is a spare set I have its clear 89 set...
