I'm using these as they came on my car factory (JZA70 TTR) but plan on going coilovers soon. I believe Randy (BIC Performance) is running them as well as many others on the forum. Have you tried a quick search on the forum or google etc. for spring rates?
I don't understand everyone saying that driving a RHD car in a LHD place is so dangerous. I've driven my RHD JZA70 daily since January 07 and not once have I almost gotten in an accident and as long as you aren't driving like a complete dipshit and trying to pass people all the time its 100%...
If you can get a rebuilt hydrofan from DM go for it but just know that a NEW pump is over $900 plus shipping from japan. As for the timing belt, DO IT! it has to come out anyways in order to remove the waterpump so might as well throw a new one in for piece of mind.
Rodknock eh? that sucks! You should come by the meet this sunday at randy's shop and take a look at his 1j swap and my jza70 and if jeremy shows up take a look at his 2j swapped car. its gonna come down to you own personal preference though in the end. 2j's are a bit more work to swap in from...
Bought my JZA70 when I was 18. Paid $9200 for it in amazing shape. Had 108,000 kms on the odo when I bought it and i've put about 35000 on it since jan 07 when I bought it. Still have it and could never imagine selling it.
Thats your cooling fan. Kind of a necessary part. There is hydraulics run from your waterpump that turn your cooling fan which is where the term " hydro-fan " comes from. If your is toast then you can probably find a used one but otherwise just grab a waterpump from a 2JZ and run either electric...
Picked up an F-CON several weeks ago and since it never came with a manual I was just curious if anyone on the forum could point me in the right direction as to where the several loose wires go to. Pictures follow.
In the first picture the top three wires (blue, green, yellow) go to...
When are we gonna have another meet here local so that I can see this in person again. Last time I saw it was at Randy's shop and he said I couldn't touch it haha. Good thing to since I was just about to unzip my pants.:sarcasm:
I love my TRD shift knob. Too bad they cost ya through the ass and I've noticed that on abnormally hot days the trd decals start to get mushy from the glue getting soft.
