My old man worried about me when I got my supra since it was only my second car and my first car was a bloody Tempo. So needless to say there is quite a power difference between a tempo and a JZA70. He's come out in it a few times with me and always gives me crap for boosting in town but I know...
1 speeding ticket here a couple years ago when I was 18. It was the first day school was back in so I was doing the previous days speed limit and got hit by some annoying cop with her radar gun from behind a fence. Didn't bother fighting it since I knew I was wrong but could have and would have...
Wow pics look good. I'd love to go to Vegas one year for SEMA and see what its like. The only disappointing part of SEMA is that you go in knowing that a good portion of the cars aren't even running. They are just slapped together and made to look nice for the show.
Am I just a ridiculously slow reader or does the text in the video disappear before you can really read it? Other than that it looks good! Congrats on getting her all done.
I did a quick google search and found this. Thought it might help. Scroll to the bottom and it tells you what function each wire color is for.

Just remember the cheapness of a lot of mark three owners (not saying that anyone who's posted is cheap) but zip ties are cheap and those metal clamps aren't as cheap. Hence why they are using a zip tie.
He's talking about the plate that covers the pressure plate. Without this plate if you are looking from the oil pan back towards the tranny you will see a half moon of the pressure plate. Hope that helps
I have a JZA70 and blew my 4.10 rear end the first time at the track. I'll admit it was sweet but still pissed me off. I have since swapped in a 3.73 and a 3.91 and have to say the 3.9 is by far my favorite. And I'm not shifting right before the end of the quarter either.
I'll be there checking out all the cars but I dont see myself entering my car. I'll give you a call Randy and find out where your at so I can swing by and check it out.
Ok so I read it. Wheres my sticker? Car looks great. I have toyed with the idea of putting my 1j in a cressida if my supra ever meets something solid at a high rate of speed. Good Job!
+1 For the HKS EVC 1. Its even easy to install for someone who isn't familiar with wiring since its only 2 wires to hook up and one is chassis ground! I installed it on my JZA70 in about an hour which included the time for getting to that horrid rear turbo!
I'm in as we already discussed. Red Robin in abbey. Its on South Fraser Way right by the mall. Lots of room for our cars so we can all park in a row and look snobby haha.
I am currently using an HKS EVC 1 (electronic boost controller) and its super simple to use. Turn the knob clockwise for more boost and turn it counter clockwise for less. There is also a high and low boost options but I've never bothered to use it. The only downfall of this unit is you really...
