what exactly is wrong with the 7M?

They do all click but my HKS one is so quiet i can't hear it from inside the car, which is nice :)

quite honestly the profec is my least favorite of the common boost controllers available. I've been impressed with all of the HKS EVC line I've seen or used and the AVC-R has a ton of features. The Greddy ones usually have very noisy solenoids...

T Hoff near downtown Raleigh gave me an amazing finish for a metal head gasket :) I can honestly say I as 110% satisfied with their work, and their pricing for rebuild parts isn't half bad either.

Wow that's not a bad combo at all... I've been looking for a better shell to swap everything into. I'm really wanting a black 92 with sunroof and shadow gray interior though...

Next time you're around let's take a good look at your car then, I've had a problem free 7M ever since my rebuild and it's been run pretty hard the past few months. I'm definitely not against going JZ but you've already got the 7M so why not see if it's feasible to use that?

That's exactly the situation I'm in, but now I have a solid 7M to do whatever to but a 2JZ would cost more and take time to swap in while the 7M is ready to go :) Buying a bigger turbo, fuel, tuning, etc parts would be necessary in either case so I'm just keeping the 7M.

A built 7M will take pretty much the same abuse a 2JZ will... everything else is just supporting mods and components you'd have to buy for either engine anyway. I'd just keep it if there's nothing wrong with it.

I sometimes wonder if I should have gone 2JZ instead of swapping in a 7M-GTE. Don't you have a built 7M already anyway though? If you're shooting for a certain power level just price it out and see which is the best option.

I'll be there :) It'll be nice having Supra company! The place is right behind sheetz on Capital blvd, you go past the left you'd take into sheetz and take the next left with a street sign and just go down until you see a showroom full of motorcycles.

I'm in Raleigh but go back to Charlotte on occasion :) Are you going with the 7M-GTE and R154 combo? That's what I did with mine, there's loads of info on it and it's a pretty straightforward swap.
