Stock cams with adjustable gears? How much timw do you have to let the car warm up? I leave the house at 4am already, so additional warm up time for me is FTL....
I have 440's, so that is my limiting factor. Bigger injectors would get me the same power, if not more. I just don't want a car that isn't streetable. Not saying that it wouldn't be streetable, I just don't think I want to push the envelope......
LOL, too true....:biglaugh:
I'm really curious how much you'de really notice the difference between your turbo & mine. Your discription sounds a lot like they way my turbo performs, but mine isn't a ball bearing turbo.
I agree completely...
I've heard that Mark Lowe loves his setup. He says that from 1500 - 3000 rpm it seems laggy, but once beyond 3000 rpm, it's made about 10psi and is coming alive. By the times he hits 4000 rpm, he's making full boost (20 psi) & is hauling freakin ass all the way to 6500 rpm where it falls off a...
Thanks tissimo. After talking with Aaron, we've both concluded that I have a bad ground somewhere. I'm breaking up once the boost comes on heavy (@ 4k rpm) but eventually the break up quits (after 5k rpm). I think I have it figured out though. I painted my engine bay & I think that it's not...
The first disk I bought had a flared piece of metal below the friction bearing surface that would have tore up the flywheel had it not been caught. The second disk was just plain warped :icon_conf
Maybe it was just bad luck, but....
two things:
1st, pick up a blind bearing puller. You will just waste your time without it.
2nd, stay away from SPEC clutches. I know there is a lot of people that endorse them, but I have bought two separate SPEC III's for my 1J swap only to find them damage beyond use, wasting over $500...
Is there a comparable spring to the TTR spring that is a little smoother? I'd like to find a spring that is linear & drops the car between1" & 1.5" & offer a smooth ride. Is the only way to a smooth ride found in a progressive rate spring?
suggestions?
the actual mounting brackets that the radio gets screwed into, sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm installing an Avic-D2 (double DIN), so no need to worry about the trim.....
Is there an alternate source (corolla, camry, ect) that might work?
I picked up a set of poly R&P bushings to install when swaping my rebuilt rack & pinion. They're one piece, no splices, so I'm assuming they have to be cut in order to be fitted around the R&P. Is this correct? I can see no other way to get them installed.....
Are these brackets universal with other cars? I'm trying to source some locally, but no luck finding a supra so far, so is there another cars brackets I can use?
