AFR can't be diagnosed across the internet, nor can one engines mods be compared to another similar motor. Guess if you wish, just carry a bucket to pick up the pieces.
Good day.
I agree. I bought one off of ebay only to have to buy another one form driftmotion because the fit of the original was so bad.
Stick to the known vendors....
Changed alternators, good voltage, same problem. But.....
After many minutes on the phone with Aaron (thanks again Aaron), we think we have it figured out. My ecu gets it's o2 reading from my LC-1 wideband. The wideband isn't calibrated, therefor it's sending the ecu the wrong AFR. We...
I bought a set of 550's, or at least they were supposed to be 550's, for my ride. Aaron had them cleaned & flowed, only to find out that they only flowed 450cc IIRC. I've heard more than one person mention that USDM 2J injectors aren't 550's, but more like 460cc's. Is there any truth to this...
It's starting to look like my problems are caused by my newly installed, freshly rebuilt alternator. :icon_conf I checked it today and it's only putting out 12.02v at idle & just a tad more at 3k rpm. I'm swapping it out again this weekend & see what happens....
Don't cut the bumper, you could be in some serious shit if you rearend some one.
12"x24"x4" installed without having to cut my bumper. The hood latch support has to be modded, but not the bumper....
Me too. Not a pressing task or anything, but I want to build up on over the next year or two & wait for something to break so I can have an excuse to drop it in....
I'll try disconnecting the battery, because I'm still getting a code 21 after putting a 1k resistor between my wideband & the ecu. My A/F is perfect now instead of it jumping around like it had, so I'm fairly certain that it shouldn't throw a code now.....
