go to your local hardware store, look on the pipe plug section you should be able to find expandable pipe plugs in that size. use its expanding to press the tube back in shape carefully. they basically are a piece of threaded rod through a rubber stopper with a nut to squeeze the rubber...
i have had a problem with the shrade valve(that little air valve) on my compression tester failing before. but it was after a very long time of owning it. also check to see that the o-ring is still on the part that screws into the s-plug hole. other than that double check the the cam timing...
well, good, gotta get the supra running again anyway. that gives me time. the garage is looking great... wish i had the funds/room to build one myself.
entirely possible. those vg motors are very stout even when damaged. they are known for cracking heads when overheated. id guess you have a couple bad heads from the #s you posted. if you need i have 3 vg30's in my storage. one vg30et as well. the et has about 30000 miles on it and is complete...
i hate to think it sean, but you should really make two sets of brackets, and swap parts..... im thinking of converting to the dark and rumbly side. probably a big cam, high comp. na one though.
1760-1600=160ft
this is why i said 160 in my earlier post.
most riggers make about 30$/hr and most electronics techs make 30-40$/ hr so id guess reasonably that this is a 150k/yr job
id do it, but then again i do maintenance on cranes and such for a living. climbing 160ft on a ladder isnt that bad if you do it often enough. i do 300-400ft regularly. i would never do it without a tether though. at 1700ft i dont know why they dont use a sap(self actuated parachute) system.
i plan to fix the car either way, it really has no value not running and i have a lot in it. as to keeping it... i really dont know. in my mind i have moved on... it is my second supra and my second major disappointment related to one.
my first supra i rebuilt the drivetrain and due to personal...
factory replacement hg, but i did the replacement before knowing about this site.... done to stock. the original hg had a external coolant leak at the front corner of the head. now i have low compression in two cylinders, and white steamy exhaust. # 2 has 60psi, and #5 has 40psi, the plugs are...
with my recent(and second in two years)bhg.... and the recent hail damage on my car. im finding it very very hard to concentrate any effort on my supra.:icon_mad: snow isnt to terribly far off around here and i have to decide which car to focus my energy on this winter as i only have one stall...
