Weird, if i search for the bearing listing my car as an '87 it doesn't come up, but two much more expensive bearings do. Searching for a '90 i come up with the cheap one.
In the link tony posted, the second post that points to the tsrm lists all the specs you need to check the pump.
I'd say if the pump is in spec just use it, I checked and reused mine with no problems.
Yep, that's what you have to do. Although I had to replace the entire cressida oil pump as well. I could not bolt the turbo oil pickup to it for some reason.
Also, those other mounts are definitely cressida/crown mounts.
P.S. If you need any help with the supra lmk, i'm from willington.
eh i kinda knew that, i figured i might be able to reinforce it enough that it wouldn't be a problem
stupid unibody cars, i wish i could just pull the frame out and put another one on somehow
Alright, first off I know this is insane, I know that it's not worth it etc...
All that aside, I have a parts car that has messed up frame rails in the front end. It slammed into a divider on a highway going pretty fast and bent the tips of the rails to the side and crumpled them a bit. They...
I'm not 100% sure they'll be swappable. What I do know is this; the turbo throttle body and the usdm na throttle body are slightly different, enough so that they won't interchange correctly. It also seems some jdm cressida/crown engines come with the usdm cressida style intake with no y-pipe and...
I think both sites contain a wealth of information, you just have to wade through more crap on SF.
That said, I spend a bit more time on SF than SM mostly just because it seems like (despite all the bs which i don't pay attention to) more just happens over there.
On the other hand I really...
Yeah he is also selling o2 sensor shims, apparently he considers this a performance mod as well.
If you look at his feedback history he was selling billit tems buttons, i think it's david swearingen on sf, dunno if he's on here too.
sf is back up, but no one has fully done the conversion yet, i hope to be the first but there is a guy in germany (knightrider i think) working on it too
It's deffinitely very possible, i have a digidash and i have the whole thing pinned out to work on a us mk3. You will need the speed sender as well as the fuel level sender from a 3.0 limited as well to make it work fully though. As far as making it LHD, the internal boards are modular somewhat...
I'm right in the area too if you need any help/parts. My engine hoist is out on loan right now, hoping to get it back shortly to pull the engine out of my parts car though.
Edit: Oh yeah... I'm in Willington, like 5min from tolland.
I have a fan clutch from autozone on my car. Quality looks good and works just fine. I've had it for a few months now. It may actually work too well, because it seems to put the fan on full alot more than i'm used to. However, it's more likely that the thicker radiator I put in there caused that...
You might want to check the steering rack mount bolts for tightness. I replaced my rack and didn't do a good job tightening the bolts, and at the first part of my turn the rack slid in the mounts and the car would pull the other way for a second, it was pretty scary.
