Alright, I see what you are saying. Unfortunately since that appears to be true then the ecu uses that connection as an input and not an output, that doesn't explain why this headlight issue occurs. Unless, the 87 ecu uses it differently than the newer ecu's, or it is actually connected to a...
Everything else works just fine. So if this one issue can be overcome there's no reason to have to year-match everything.
In regards to what you said Jeff, that is interesting. Pin 10 on Integration relay #2 is connected into the ECU. (According to the headlight wiring diagram) Nothing in that...
My friend has a problem with his car where the headlights don't turn off. No matter what the switch is set at they are always on. We have gone through and changed the switch, the headlight relay, and the integration #2 relay. None of these had any effect. I have determined that it must be the...
Yeah I had the same problem on my car. The packs come off the bracket individualy via an allen wrench and you can replace just that one pack or the whole set. I suppose you could try cleaning it out, not worth it IMO.
I have both a single pack and a whole set for sale:icon_bigg...
I have the CSF Race radiator. It's huge, the electric AC fans barely fit on it. However with alot of patience everything will bolt up no problem. It's good quality and cools very well. The PWR and Fluidyne really aren't worth the extra money unless you just want a prettier finish IMO.
Here's...
First two pics are the fuel pressure regulator vsv, you definitely want to fix that.
The second plug might be the reverse light switch or neutral start or something like that from the transmission.
Yep, I painted my old sawblades in gunmetal. Don't have a pic of them on the car, but here they are 2 years after I painted them: (The lines that appear on the top 3 are just a reflection from the side of the house)
Personally, I think it's the best possible look for the sawblades.
Well, my 5 star rims actually have avalon centercaps on them. With some trimming of the rear plastic they pop right in. However, I imagine that finding a set in chrome might be a bit harder.
The trip meter and mileage are on a single unit which can be removed from the back of the speedometer; or even easier, the speedometer assembly itself can be replaced. All you need is a phillips screwdriver to take the gauge cluster apart.
Replace the timing belt while you have the thing apart, consider replacing the oil pump. Clean all of your brackets/accessories up and repaint them where needed with high temp paint, makes the engine look a thousand times better, and you might as well while everything is apart.
Jack up the front end of the car or park in such a way that the radiator neck is the highest point in the cooling system. Remove the radiator cap, start the car and put the heat on full blast, let it run for a bit and rev the engine up and hold it at 3k or so a couple of times. The air in the...
Basically that noise tells you there is air in the cooling system.
It can be caused by not flushing the air from the cooling system or having any kind of leak in it. That includes a BHG, a leaking hose, or anything tomjan87 said as well.
As far as checking for a BHG, there are alot of little...
Ok, sorry if this has been covered before, i've never seen anything on it and a brief search turned up nothing. I recently swapped the turbo in my car and I noticed the wastegate actuator vacuum line is tapped into two different spots on the two turbos. Is one location better than the other? Is...
When you put the spring on the strut there is an exact spot it goes into where the perch is indented. It's easy to accidently not slide it all the way down and reassemble it like that and the car will be slightly crooked.
Mine runs at 40 on startup, down pretty low once it's at warm idle (~10psi), 20 on normal driving, and up to 40psi when I get on it on the highway. You won't see more than 40 with the stock bypass installed.
