Buy a stocker. Easier to mount and easily used for your hp needs. Use the extra money you would need to buy that intercooler+mounting+extra piping and buy hard pipes, or make them from cheap steel and paint it.
I do have a stock intercooler in great condition for sale... :bigthumb:
Running the stock with the HKS is the best way to do it, until the stock starts to leak at high boost. The stock opens much more easily then the hks and will help with surge at very low boost or just part throttle lift offs.
Glueing is the best. Get your car painted the color you want and glue it on. Several of my parts car had the trims glued on with no clips at all. YOu couldn't tell the difference until you tried to take them off... pita!!!
You an use a wb in the stock o2 position, but you will have to buy the 2 bolt to screw in adapter peice for the o2 sensor. Best way is to just get a bung and weld it on..
Cheapest way to go is keep all mechanical stuff NA and only swap the electronics. All you will need is:
turbo harness
ecu and hac sensor (87-88)
CPS
Ignitor
Coilpacks
Injectors
turbocharger and supporting parts
If it was bent valves, your car would be running bad hot or cold. Check for something that would change, after the engine warms up. Cold start injector, temp sensors, bad spark plug cables, bad plugs, etc........
A firend of mine had 0 psi on his supra, knocked a little and he filled it up with oil. Knocking wasn't as loud anymore. One week later, motor seized...
sorry man, ....gotta say it
