Welcome! The Supra looks really clean, it's cool that you're the original owner. I'm the second owner of my Supra. I am in the same boat as you with the suspension, so I'm very interested in your results with the fortune auto coilovers. How much do you plan to lower the car?
It sounds like you...
I've debated putting louvers on mine as well, but I can't decide if I want to or not. Mine is completely stock appearing from the outside aside from the tint as well so I'm not sure how it would go with it. Where did you get the louvers, and how do they mount to the car?
Wow, I'm not sure how I missed all the recent updates in this build. Looks like you are making good progress with the Supra. I love both your 4Runners too. I've been through the build threads on both of them on T4R and they are beautiful. I've got a 3rd gen 4Runner too. I've done a little bit of...
It really depends on how attached you are to the car. I know I am very attached to mine. It's more than just a car to me, but you may feel differently about yours. My Supra was also my first car and I don't ever have any intentions of getting rid of it. It was the car that I learned how to work...
Haha, I bet it'd be hard to keep that under control without all that extra down-force from the spoiler. I hope your daughter's tournament goes well, good luck! We will have to try and plan something sometime then. I know of two other guys up here who have MK3's as well and are always down to...
Ah, nice. You're not far from me at all then. Maybe in the Spring once you have the car all buttoned up we can try and get some of the Alabama Supras together and go to a show or so.
Don't mean to get off topic here, but I've always admired your car in your sig. I never realized that your Supra was in such a high HP range either. Are you in the B'ham area? I'm up in Huntsville, I'd love to see your car sometime.
Fill is on the side and drain is on the bottom. Should be easy to tell where they are once you see them. Don't forget to put the washers back on when you put them in, or preferably just replace the washers.
Thanks for getting the info. I'm actually really interested in the King Standard ones. If they are the same height as the 89+ springs that are just a tad lower than the pre89 springs that would be the perfect drop for me. Have you seen anywhere that sells them in the US though?
You run a completely new harness for them that comes when you order the retrofit kit. The only thing that the stock wiring does is signal the relay on the new harness to power the lights on. There's no additional load on the stock wiring.
Yup. I've got 4300k and I'm super happy with them.
I've never even heard of King springs, but I'm kinda interested. Any idea if they are quality good springs, or are they cheap stuff? Would you happen to have the info for the King Standard springs as well?
Yeah those are definitely the best option for plug and play. I put a lot of work into my projectors, and I don't regret it, but it was also very time consuming. The Truck Lite lights keep going down in price too. Right now there is a seller on ebay selling them for $184 a piece so $368 for a...
Not really. You need projectors for HIDS to work well and to get projectors into H4 housings you will need to do a lot of cutting of the housings and modifying. If you want a bolt in headlight replacement I would look at the LED headlights for our cars. They don't perform nearly as well as a...
Alright, I'll look around for the mounts and such.
Thanks for measuring the heights later then. I'm really hoping they won't drop too much, but they probably will for my needs unfortunately.
I'm sure it does take a long time. The only write up I've ever done was one on changing the high...
Very nice write up!!! I really like your site as well, lots of good info there. I will definitely use this whenever I can make a decision on what to do with my suspension. I have TEMS, but I am not sure if I want to keep it. One day I convince myself I should, and another day I think I should...
