Please do! Where did you get the O2 sensor at? I was looking around briefly the other day and saw that rock auto sells the Denso ones for about $40. Will this Denso one have the same plug on the end as the factory one so it is plug and play?
I didn't know Napa sold an equivalent. I'm glad...
Haha I did it the same way. I think I pulled up on wooden planks to give a little more clearance so I could crawl under the car. I had the old ones out in no time and the right hand side in quickly, but the left hand side was a pain to get aligned up. Your's might be a little difference being...
Good choice on the Ricochet bushings. I've got them and they've been great so far. It's a little difficult to get the brackets to come down over the new poly bushings though because they're so much stiffer and not worn out like the old ones.
Yeah, I'm looking more into replacing the head gasket now when I do the timing belt, water pump, and valve stem seals. Then it should be good to go for many years to come.
Let me know if you see any improvement with the Fuel Pressure Regulator. 3p's post has me looking at O2 sensors now too...
Hmmm. I didn't think about the oxygen sensor and never tested it therefore. I don't have any codes, but with mine it requires more than a blip of the throttle. When it really acts up I have to usually keep my foot on the throttle at like 2k rpms for several seconds and then when I let off it...
Ah, gotcha. I think the US spec Supra's were alot more standardized where most of the features were standard, or not available here versus the other countries. I forgot to suggest to order the color samples from them. They will definitely help decide what color you need to match. I'm sure they...
That's the exact same bulb I went with. I think they are perfect. They look like pure white to me, and 4300k provides the most light. In the picture I was thinking they were maybe 5000k or so.
Nice. I know Redline used to have some pics of my car for the sample pictures on the saddle color. Not sure if they still do though, I haven't looked in a while. It was a nice feeling though that my car was good enough for a company to represent it's products.
What exactly does the second...
That's what I'm thinking too. At that power level you are getting into territory of breaking transmissions, differentials, subframes and such without upgrading them as well. You would loose a lot of driveablity at that level too I would think.
Haha that's great. What pictures came up that you saved?
My interior trim code is actually LB32. It's probably the same as the Lx32 just mine is an MA70 instead of a JZA70.
Yes, they are the Redline Leather Goods for the e-brake, shift boot, and center console cover. I also had them sew...
Welcome! That's an incredibly beautiful Supra! For the exhaust I would recommend the HKS system that has the dual outlets and looks almost like stock. I can't think of the name for it right now, but a lot of members here have it. I believe it's 3" which should be plenty unless you are going for...
Looks good! What color temp bulb did you go with? It looks like it might be a little higher than what I went with, but that might just be the camera too.
Thanks! Yeah the heatsoak issue isn't too big of an issue, more of annoyance and slightly embarrassing. Maybe once it warms up and I start driving the Supra a little more I'll look into it again and finally find the problem. As for the retrofit here is the thread I made documenting my build on...
How far into the door did you have to go to get the code? Did the exterior handle have to be pulled, or are you able to see the code once you have the door panel off and look past the plastic liner?
Glad to hear you got the car back, but sorry to hear about the damage. Hopefully it isn't...
They can't make it by VIN for at least everything 87 and older. I went there a few years ago when I first got my Supra hoping to get a key cut to the VIN and they said their records only go back to 1990 I believe is what he said, I can't remember for sure, but I do know he couldn't do it for my...
