hahaha they havent called me a probe yet. but I havent really stirred up much attention yet either.
it might be a little bit before I'm back on the track. I'm swapping into a new shell (from half working 87 to full working clean 89). I'm just waiting for my full length stainless steel clutch...
Ok So I went to the track again. This time, a friend of mine let me his his NA mk4 wheels equipped with Mickey thompson ET streets. Here are the results.....
60ft 1.986
330ft 5.649
1/8th 8.722
mph 81.01
1000 11.3
1/4 13.497
mph 104.55
What do I need to get this down more?
Dub- I would but that wouldnt help me since the shell that I'm swapping into is here at my place, and I blew out my differential wednesday lol
hvyman- that whole jumping terminals terminology is like speaking chinese to me. I'm retarded when it comes to electrical.

I am about to swap from a 1987 turbo 5spd to a 1989 turbo auto. But I'm converting it to a 5spd. If there's an experienced supra owner around, can I get some help here? This whole neutral safety switch crap and reverse lights stuff completely confuses me since I suck at electrical stuff
I really hope to see some of you at Infineon tomorrow. WEDNESDAY NIGHT DRAGS and SONOMA DRIFT. 4pm-10pm. I feel like only one of 2 supras thats ever down to hit the track out here. Whats up?

There is a vvti and non-vvti 2jz I believe. Others please correct me if I'm wrong. I've been told that the vvti version is harder to tune so the non-vvti version is more wanted. I dont know how true that is so dont quote me on it. r154 5spd is the way to go because the 6spd getrag tranny is very...
already in motion bro lol

But which sensors? I know the ones from the thernostat housing have to be switched. What other sensors are different?
the 1989 has a perfect condition gte auto engine harness and ecu in the car. the engine is in the car, but it's blown. So I'm putting my engine in, but at the same time, I'm doing a 5spd swap..................
A few questions about this swap................
i have a 1987 5spd turbo. it has a bunch of electrical issues. so i was given a 1989 turbo auto shell.
1. Which sensors from the engine need to be swapped onto my 1987 engine so that everything works and plugs in correctly?
2. How do I...
