Poodles, every single time I've messed with that line (on other supras too), the bolt that the banjo bolt goes into turns instead. I tried just turning the banjo bolt more, but that wasnt doing much. I was going to cut the line off there, and just take everything off like that, but there wast...
It tells you to take the pulley off? lol. the bolts were no issue. it looks like the pump doesnt really want to budge unless you take EVERYTHING off it. I was just trying to get the high pressure line off. I managed to squeeze a 1 1/16" wrench back there, I dont have a metric one that big...
my clutch setup is rated for 570 ft/lbs. I'm sorry you're so poor you couldnt imagine someone having more than 1 clutch :nono:
Because I do so much driving, I was contemplating using a stock disc with my pressure plate that feels very close to stock. I opted for a heavier flywheel instead...
My 88 apparently has a PPS rack, but none of the wiring, computer, or sensors. I want to just make a simple on/off circuit for it, but I don't want to put too much juice into it.
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Media/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/SR/SR_095.gif does this mean the rack is supposed to see...
wrench doesnt fit back there, you gotta take the pump out. banjo bolt is 17mm. it's ok, I just muscled it out. left the pump on. less hassle that way
There's no way to add tension to the belt though, or take it way, that's my issue.
I've looked around and have found nothing. All I want to do is take the high pressure line off, but it wont come out without access to the bolt that the bolt is threaded into :nono: Any tips? I've done it before, but I see no good way to take or put this thing back on.
Now that I think about...
Mine was slipping, but my PP was a POS. Car did 292whp with 10psi and next to no modifications. (pretty much just full exhaust) I'm putting a borg warner 60mm T4 on it, so I'm trying to weigh my options here. currently driving around w/ the ACT HD w/ sprung 6-puck. I should be pulling the...
definitely coming from the rear, no question about that. I checked the rear subframe, and holy hell!! I'd need a massive tq wrench to adequately check those bolts.... they did seem extremely tight though. I only weight 140lbs and tq spec is 133, so I couldn't get that much force on it with...
Well, the best I can describe it is a harsh (what feels like rubber on metal) vibration that repeats it's-self rapidly, till it runs it's course. The car does squirm some too (with the vibration), which initially made me think it was an issue with the subrame. The rear definitely squirms, but...
I've got to take my turbo back off tomorrow, since the stupid feed/drain combo flange is leaking, but I finally got to put some miles on my '88, and the rear struts are definitely toast. I have some new ones to put on it, but before I dug into it, I though I'd see if anyone knew what would...
