Sounds like a good way to me.......shall I let you know what the packed weight is when done ?
Have had a real busy week with my stock products, but you're now top of the list. Hope to have yours finished by Wednesday next week.
Link below is the pair I just finished today for a U.K owner...
Much appreciated and thanks to all.....the only problem I will have is keeping up with demand, whilst making my other stock items and sorting the sides as well.
The other restriction is the fact that I can only get 10-12 pairs from one set of moulds to maintain my quality standard before...
Let's try this...........

Don't know what happened there, but seems to be fine now :naughty:
So, this is my idea of what the OEM clear could/ should have looked like
i second the vote for pricing ETA...
Evening/ Morning all,
Apologies for changing subject slightly, and as it's getting rather late, and to save typing it again, here's my earlier post on the U.K forum.....
"Well I have some good news and some bad news.............the good news is that I produced the first clear front...
The postman brought me 2 pairs this morning , and both look in great shape.
One pair is for my mate Medallion Man, and the other is currently unspoken for.
I will try to get this done by end of next week, amongst the other orders and priojects in hand, and will be able provide any photos...
Just a quick post to let you know I've got the 1st clear front in mould and hope to be able to post first pics Monday p.m our time. For anybody looking for a non-rice OEM style clear front, these could be the answer :evil2:
Had a quick check and although I can't be sure, I think they may just have removed the amber lens by breaking it out from the inside, and then sprayed the inside of the housing.
AFAIK I am the only person to have made a direct copy of the original lenses but in clear, but I stand to be...
Hi Steve_N,
Very good question, which I'm happy you raised.
Best answer I can give you is that the material I use is water clear. It is U.V stabilised and does not become brittle over time. I have been supplying lenses for over 18 months, with customers in diverse places and climates such...
Thanks for all the feedback guys,
So here's the current status..........
What we have is is the first trial side. Unforunately, I made an error with the mould for the backing and had to cut it into 4 pieces.... not exactly ideal, so will have to remake it. Will then have to amke a few more...
Good Morning all,
I couldn't contain my excitement, so here's the very first pics of the very first clear bubble type side indicator complete with E markings but no Toyota. This is a first prototype and I still have further work to do with different finishes to the bonding edge and different...
Sounds interesting, I'll see how I get on sorting a pair of top quality units. I'm still also doing further trials spraying parts of the internals in chrome. This will further enhance the overall upgrade IMHO. Round the reverse lens looks a bit dark too and I think this could be brightened up a...
Hi tekdeus, thanks for that. I'll have to admit my ignorance on all the rear variants :1zhelp: Have you got a link to a pic I can see of the 3 pce tail? Is that that different to the JDM model which is the one I thought had the other type of amber shield inside which could removed?
Side...
Really sorry about how the price works out especially with the exchange rate, but hey...... remember these are all individually hand made by me and numbered, and as far as I'm aware, I'm the only company offreing these.
Maybe that's something to do with the fact that the volumes don't warrant...
Sourcing, converting and shipping complete units isn't viable for me. However, having split the cluster about half an hour after having one in my hands, I think my technique should be able to be used by most folk with basic practical skills and the right equipment.
This was a basic procedure...
Cheers guys, I didn't think they were bad for a first attempt. :naughty:
No surprise, I thought they might lend themselves to a possible LED conversion. I have a plan but I won't have time to put it together, so I'll post later and see if sombody wants to try it out. Should easily be...
Specially when you see what I've come up with..... :evil2:
Due to the kindness and trust of a U.K owner, I received a complete rear unit today. After some consideration, I decided on the method , and without too much bother, I managed to separate the unit without any damage whatsoever...
Good morning across the pond,
Just to keep you up to date, I cast the other side this aftenoon and below is the first pair in existence.......now that's unique :evil2: I knocked up another little box housing, sprayed it chrome, wired them up and yep, I reckon it's looking good. I have a rear...
Hi there A-Model,
You rubbed the lens , and the genie appears:naughty: ....your wish is my command....just took these in the Sunday morning sun. This what my little mock up housing looks like - sprayed inside with chrome to give you an idea...
Cheers for the offer,
Please hang onto them,as although I'm going to start with the JDM, there seems to be interest in the USDM flat ones in the U.K too.
First I need to cut the JDM's and try casting the rear case as to date I have only done lenses and not the backings. Shouldn't be a...
Morning CRE,
Hmmmm.........so another caster eh? I knew there must be a few others of us out there:evil2:
As this is what I do for a living not just a hobby, you'll understand me being a bit coy about some aspects of the procedure and materials I use. A number of people have tried doing...
