the only way it'll spring a leak is if you undertightened the compression fittings or if you bent the nylon tube at too sharp of an angle. but yea, I know what you mean but I personally hate. messing around with electrical crap lol

I'm not sure but why even deal with electrical gauges?? mechanical is just plug and play and you wont have to worry about any of that. as long as you hook it up right, it will work

this is literally the exact same situation that happened with me one day with my 7mge. it happened out of the blue and it was horrible. it all turned out to be that my spark plug galley was filled with oil, one of my spark plug wires was laying on the exhaust mani and burnt right through the...

my car had been throwing error codes with ofccourse the orange engine light on. After I installed my oil pressure gauge into the cluster, the light that stays orange now is the one that shows an outline of a car and has beams of light shown out of the headlights/tailights.
The engine light...
awesome thank you. just to clarify, when you said to hook the ground to the brown, are you talking about the brown contact part of the flexible motherboard where the old bulb would fit into?
yea i want to but how? the back of the gauges has that green motherboard thing and I wouldn't know how to try to get into that. I need like a specific point/pinon a connector/ or wire.
I just finished installing a analog oil pressure gauge in the supra, but i want my gauge light to come on whenn i flick all the other dash lights/headlights on.
where EXACTLY do i have to splice into to get that to happen?
and the gauge just has a regular light bulb with two wires, one...
see but that's just the thing..even with the gauge installed I still think my oil pressure should be higher than it is. just cruising around it will float between 20-30 psi and maybe 40 if I really step on it. once I get the seal replaced ill switch back to 10w- 30/40.

what a looooong day...
but this thread did ask "What did you do to your supra today?" so I will tell all! ;)
woke up, ate breakfast and right away lifted the Supra enough to remove the bolts on the underside of the exhaust mani (and prior to that, remove the accordion intake hose) , then...
The pic looks like this..sorry i didn't send this any sooner.

I looked at the egr and everything seems to be connected properly except for the little rubber valve that is coming from the throttle body..I have no clue where that goes. and yea, I can hear that I have an exhaust leak right by the cat somewhere..that could come through the shifter assembly...
okay so I just received my knock sensor harness/wiree thing and this is what I got....
where does the other side of the wire plug in to?? I thought it would be a wire long enough to splice it into the correct spot on the ecu?
