yes but the only way to get that compromise is with a clutch style lsd, i dont think that torsen lsd's work very well for drifting. however they dont wear out but the way the gears mesh it is not as effective as the clutch style. drift king Keiichi Tsuchya says that to be effective you should...

thank you for actually explaining that hole ordeal. so when i rebuild my LSD and it is functioning, if i get one of the rear tires broke loose in a drift or a g-turn then the other tire will break loose and they should get equal power allowing for a more controllable drift?

cause ive never drifted a vehicle with an lsd that actually worked and i want to know what the car will handle like.

if i rebuilt it with new shims, then both tires will get power and they will break loose easier giving me more over steer and also making it easier to control a drift. at least that is what should happen. more under steer makes no sense

so when i get the new shims in, how different will my car handle?

how does a lsd affect a drift? cause i can do great dry payvment drifts if i clutch kick, but when i go to do dry payvment j turns i fail cause only one tire breaks loose.

ya my vin tag says g285, so i know i have a lsd, but it acts as if it is a non lsd. so all i have to do is replace the shims right?

I do have an tems switch on ny center consol. I will check my vin and know for sure if i fo have an lsd. If my diff shims are worn out it would act as a non lsd, correct?
