yep 1jz is every bit as good as a 2jz.. but meant for powergoals in the lower hp band. even w/ the lower hp you should still reach your max hp quicker while driving w/ the 2.5L. I guess it depends on what you want to do with the car. :).

well depending on the temp in your area you can just take the thermo out until you get some money... thermo just restricts the coolant flow.. now if the general temp in your area is cold... or it gets cold @ night or is about to turn cold... then i wouldnt do it.. Anyway.. if its summer type...
