yeah, i used to alot a year ago, but i've been out of a supra for a while. i just got this one i got now, but i haven't figured out the my emanage ultimate yet. the car runs but it needs to be tuned and i can't get the EMU to start the car for anything. i might just throw in an afc and call it a...
Could be just a bad walbro. It's alot easier to drop the tank and replace one instead of pulling that head off that motor again. Glad you got the overheating sorted. I wanna see that thing one of these days.
17 psi, stock intake mani, blitz ecu and 31x12x3 IC. I would think the blitz ecu attributed to earlier spoolup due to more aggressive mapping, but a 1jz will spin a .96 on a t04e fairly well.
You will be alright with a .96 ar on that turbo. Lag is overrated. My friend had a t04s down here on a 1jz with a stock head and block with a .68 and that turbo would spool quick but it would loose steam on the top end. A .96 ar changed that, and he only lost about 500 rpm spool time on a high...
Get those knock sensors wired up and go single. That'll solve most of your problems. Terrible gas mileage due to the not having knock sensors. Like someone said earlier in this thread, it puts the car into limp mode. Too bad about those stock twins. I've seen some last for years and some that go...
I wouldn't take the chance driving it without a fan or fans . I went to the local junkyard and yanked some fans off of a 95 altima and wired them in with a 100amp relay and temp switch from murrays speed and custom. In all it cost me about $100 and about 2 hours of my time shaving a couple...
I've always run higher than stock boost on my supras, so that's why i used 93. I still would run 93 on a stock boosted supra as well just for peace of mind just in case i spiked or something. Ive heard of ignitions pinging on some 7m's that ran 87 so i never took the chance running 87 or 89 in...
God this thread is making me a little bit nervous to use my spec stage 3. I'm looking to make low 500's on my 1jzgte setup. Will never see the track and will rarely see clutch dumps unless i'm showing off lol. Hope it doesn't give up on me till i'm ready to go multiplate.
