No codes,no engine check engine light.It had a engine code code light about two months ago it was egr related.

Hi everyone, Who can help with this ? I have a1989 mk3 turbo.While i drive at freeway speeds i check my stock oil gauge and reads 40 PSI or 38 PSI aprox it does not go above that.I's this normal?
