So this morning, I begin my routine seasonal undercarriage and suspension cleaning as well as doing my breaks and replacing some bushings while I'm there and I find something horrific. 2 of 4 (both rear coilovers) of my coilovers upper spring seats are completely annihilated from when I last...
definitely, fluid dynamics is something you want on your side for cooling. it would significantly reduce airflow based on the area of your radiator due to air being pulled in from other angles besides the front.
as mentioned that it doesn't shoot air off in any other direction is obvious...
Well the answer to mine was a new harness clip for the TPS, if youre getting code 41 there may be a bad connection or your TPS may just be way out of adjustment. I dont know if you've had your TB off of the car and maybe took the TPS off and never recalibrated it.
the problem is solved, all symptoms of hesitation, super high idle, and code 41 were eliminated with the use of the fresh TPS harness connector. now to run a fresh compression test to see if there was any internal damage from the super high idling. also can move onto oil change and sanding the...
I am getting the same code and am working on a solution. When you start your car does it idle and then choke out? Thats one problem I was having as well as hesitation between throttle and actual power to the motor. I'll elaborate once the weather dries up and I can do some more tests and...
Is the position for the feeler gauge directly below where the 2 EGR vacuum hoses run? And also like I said before, I can barely move the throttle to open up the butterfly valve on the TB when it is off of the car, I would expect it to be just as easy as when on the car but yet it WILL NOT budge...
Yes I did check every piece of the harness coming out of the engine bay for melted wires etc.. it was fine (was pretty much forced to because alot of the JDM parts would not accept the USDM electronics and vise versa. The TSRM does not give me enough visual detail to go on as far as testing...
The ECU was destroyed electrically due to a mishap on my motor swap a couple years ago so I replaced it (I think that it kept blowing the EFI fuse or one of the fusible links, so I did testing it failed, I replaced). Good news is that I went through all my parts and found the harness clipping...
zip ties, i didnt even think about that, yet i've use them on alot of things. i've been using electrical tape but it gets warm and slides all over the place, i'm about to go check my other motor because I may have a harness clipping on it, if not i'll try zip ties until I can get a working clip...
Getting code 41: Throttle Position Sensor Signal - Open or short circuit in throttle position sensor signal (VTA) /// a) TPS circuit b) TPS c) ECU
My ECU is new and replaced the obvious bad one so the error must lie between the TPS and the connector. My TPS connector is shredded to bits and...
I dont know if this is natural for all supra's or if its just my throttle linkage or fuel system and this is kind of hard to put into words.
When my car is warm and idling, or when driving at a normal RPM say 2500 in 3rd gear, there is a noticeable approximately near 1 second hesitation...
When I start my car, most of the time the idle is normal around 800rpm, but every now and then I start it and the idle skyrockets to 2500rpm and I am stuck turning the car off and on until I get the normal idle speed of 800rpm. It has a tendency to do this after I've already driven x amount of...
I'm looking for a quick gasket replacement to remove my stock catback and put on my aftermarket one that i purchased a couple years ago. the exhaust system came with a standard flange cut gasket that didn't last long. at local auto parts stores the suggested cat to catback gasket is a donut...
I'm using driftmotions catch can. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-oilcatchcan.php
I'd say comparable to greddy, pretty good quality. I welded the inlets and outlets to the can, it had no leaks before the welds and no leaks after. It definately gets the job done for me. I am running a N/A...
